    Cushions for my 22 seafarer

affordableboatcushions.com did mine for my 1993 22' tournament. They came out great and were well below the cost of typical upholstery places. And frankly a lot easier to deal with. They have cushion templates for most boats, and I actually sent them my expired bow cushions with which they...

New gunwale sink box, trim pieces and toe rails. (Pics)

I replaced the existing one since it was original to 1996 and looked worn out. I kept the rest of the existing plumbing (changed a vulcanized water hose was hard as a stone). You can still get the original faucets, which are pretty much the only ones that fit, but they arent many left as they...

Faucet assembly for a 228 Seafarer

I just had a post about this for my 1996 Voyager. Those faucets are still available if it is the same one I have, but they are usually sold with a separate pump with switch built into the faucet. The original one just had a knockout cap where the switch would have gone. You can find them as a...

    Voyager 248 (1996) windlass question

I purchased this boat last year and have been slowly fixing it up. It looks like the windlass on this boat is not original to the boat and was added by somebody. Question - did this boat originally have an anchor locker, and if so, was there a flip open cover for it. My boat looks like...

    Duratrim replacement or rehab

Here are a couple of pics of the replacement trim I installed. Material is very cheap at Home Depot. All you need is a chop saw and it's pretty easy to duplicate the duratrim. Still need to do a lot of work to this boat (Voyager 248), but am slowly rehabbing it.

    Duratrim replacement or rehab

I'll post some pics next time I get into the boat. Cutting new trim was really pretty easy and minimal work, and the bonus is that it costs very little to replace and anyone has access to the materials at their local home depot / Lowes.

    Duratrim replacement or rehab

Ill see what I can do - my boats are all wrapped but I just did this for my Voyager and came out looking just as good as the tournament. Ill see if I csn snap a couple of photos Ive been working on it via an access door and space heater even though we have snow here. Cant get much done during...

Replacement recessed gunwale fresh water faucet? Not shower head.

Yeah I actually replied to that thread with the same solution I mentioned here. Spent a couple hours last night trying to find a faucet that could be substituted in but no luck there. The recess is a paltry 3.5” H x 8” wide - not much space to work with. It might be possible to open up the...

    248 Voyager Cuddy hatch replacement

It was a company called Portland Glass, they are a franchise with several locations. But I am in New Hampshire, so folks will probably need to find a similar company more local to them.

    Duratrim replacement or rehab

nobody replied, so I will let everyone know I simply went down to Home Depot, bought some composite trim, and replaced all the old duratrim with this. The boat looks a lot better and I believe newer GWs use a white trim anyway.

    248 Voyager Cuddy hatch replacement

Just a follow up on the windows. I was able to have a local glass company replace all the cuddy windows and skylight for a measly $300.00. I had to shop around a bit though - another company within eyeshot of the one I went with, they quoted me $1200.00 for the same job. So goes to show...

    Voyager 248 Speed Question / 300hp

A follow up from my post earlier in the year. I was able to get the boat out 3 times at the end of the season to at least get a few trial runs, and begin going through the process of working out the kinks. I hit the rev limiter on the motor at 6100 RPM with a stock 17P prop. Granted the...

New gunwale sink box, trim pieces and toe rails. (Pics)

I replied to another thread where this subject came up. I bought a 1996 Voyager with the same issue - gunnel faucet box is dry rotted out. My solution is I'm having a 3D print duplicated of the original, but I'm also currently trying to source a faucet with valve integrated into it that will...

Replacement recessed gunwale fresh water faucet? Not shower head.

I purchased a 1996 Voyager with the same issue. I am having the recessed flange reproduced via 3-D printing, along with the two drawer flanges that go under the seats. They are all dry rotted and brittle, this will restore the boat back to a closer version of its original luster. Im in the...
