Your exprience opinion wanted. Express 330

I think a few things are needed here... the first of which would be a budget and how far you're wanting to either travel, or have the boat shipped to you. On top of that, are F350's a dealbreaker or are you just preferring the F300's? Also, is no trailer a dealbreaker as well? There's a 2008 up...

    Tilt/trim motor intermittent

Next time you have the motors up, check the trim/tilt fluid reservoir and see if you're running low on it. I had a similar issue where I'd press the button, both at the helm as well as at the motor, and you'd hear the motor spinning but it wouldn't want to go up or down all the way. I manually...

    2001 Grady white Transom Problem

I believe it was 1997 when they switched over from marine grade plywood to Greenwood XL

Your exprience opinion wanted. Express 330

There's one up here in the Seattle area for sale from a dealership, though they aren't a GW dealership. It also doesn't appear to come with a trailer. https://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/bod/d/port-ludlow-grady-white-330-express/7786466601.html

Your exprience opinion wanted. Express 330

I can't give any advice or opinions on the boats themselves, other than in regards to pricing. I think I'd get a boat like the one listed below that's a couple years older and save $50k. Looks like a recent repower in 2019 with only 268 hours on the F300's, new generator in 2020, new...

Highest HP a 272 Sailfish can take

The 1997 model year had a maximum horsepower rating of 450 hp. Other years might be more or less, for starters… what year is your boat? As Late Again Grady mentioned, I’d likely go with mercury outboards in your case as they’re going to be the lightest of all the brands in that horsepower range...

    Grady White Accessories Online

The biggest issue that I've found is that it really just depends on which part you're specifically looking for, who makes it, is it available for the public to purchase or is it sold directly to Grady White? Etc. A fair amount of their parts are made by other manufacturers, and then GW adds them...

    GW Seafarer Live Well Configuration

Let's start with a few basic questions, which would be what year of Seafarer do you have and is it the 226 or the 228 Seafarer? Because yes, there are big differences between the two models. I've got a 2004 GW 228 Seafarer and it only has one livewell in the middle stern of the boat. I believe...

    GW rounded keel

Agreed... I had a 21' Arima with a modified vee hull and the stern was almost completely flat. It would pound in anything greater than 1'-2' chop, you'd take spray over the windshield/windows and it would rock quite a bit just walking from side to side while trolling for fish. I had that boat...

    GW rounded keel

I think my biggest question about the video would be if Sam left his shirt in the glovebox of his car overnight and then pulled it out right before shooting the video.

2017 or newer 208 - how do you like?

It was a hypothetical in that one could run their boat solo with no gear and another might have 4-5 other people consistently on board with 1k lbs of gear, ice, bait, water and so forth. Also, my comment was meant more along the lines of the "dry weight" of the boats are posted in the brochures...

2017 or newer 208 - how do you like?

The dry weight of the boat doesn't really mean anything to me at all as it's just adding up numbers and then guessing from there. The much closer number is going to be the weight of a test boat and then going from there with additional persons, gear and so forth. Obviously they're going to use...

    Dash modernization

You could also mount the VHF underneath the dash or even potentially on top, up near where the compass is.

2017 or newer 208 - how do you like?

As mentioned, there aren't a ton of outward differences with the 208 Adventure over the years, except for some smaller things like the interior of the cabin cushions, some of the instrumentation at the helm and so forth. I briefly considered buying one instead of my 228 Seafarer over the year...

    Has the tide turned?

It's all about supply and demand. I remember a few years ago back in 2020 when "normal" items went up like crazy in price because everything else was shut down. Anything outdoors especially... from bicycles to kayaks, canoes, workout gear, weights and weightlifting equipment, etc. The same thing...

    WTB Adventure 208

It's not a 2017 and newer, but this one just popped up on the local Craigslist for me the other day. Might be worth looking into? https://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/boa/d/gig-harbor-grady-white-208-adventure/7785773204.html

    Suzuki 200 vs 225

The archived brochure finally decided to load correctly, of which the maximum horsepower for that year and model of boat is 280 hp. Though, I'd honestly be a bit more concerned about the weight as opposed to the max horsepower at this point, and I'd give GW a call to see what their recommend...

    Suzuki 200 vs 225

Seems like there's an issue with the GW website in that not all of their archived brochures are loading, but I believe the maximum horsepower for your boat is 230 hp? If so, I'd strongly consider the 225 as well, as a 22' Seafarer is a decent sized boat and I'm not sure I'd want to go less than...

1993 GW Seafarer 228 and what to look for.

Good looking boat, especially for being now 31 years old. Looks like you, or the previous owner, replaced all of the teak inserts and panels? I think it looks a lot better without them. I don't believe the 228 was offered without a bracket, unless it's an early, early one from the 1980's or so...
