Looking to buy a Sailfish or Marlin - Washington State

Based off the pictures of your boat, I'd say it's a late 1980's to mid 1990's model, especially since Grady White discontinued making the 25 Sailfish and changed it up in the late 1990's to a 272/282 Sailfish. While there isn't really anything necessarily wrong with that, it wasn't until 1992...

    Towing Capacity

I've been argued with multiple times on here about this very topic but I always like to leave a little bit of "wiggle room" so to speak with regard to towing capacities and so forth...

    Resetting Passwords and changing profile

If I'm understanding this correctly, you want to change the email address and/or password here on the website but either don't know what your current password is or you don't have access anymore to the email address associated on the account here? If you do have access to the old email address...

    Day Dreaming ...upgrading

I think it really just depends on what you'll be doing 90-95% of the time or more. I remember having a conversation with my uncle about this exact topic back when he had his 26' Bayliner Trophy because he was thinking about going with an even bigger boat. I mentioned that 90-95% or more of what...

    F-26 Tiger cat

I don't know how it is elsewhere around the country but out here in the PNW, catamaran boats are a rarity that you hardly, if ever see. I've never seen a Grady White 26' Tigercat before and usually catamaran styles of boats aren't usually seen until they're considerably bigger in size like a...

    Repower 265 Express

Agreed. And there's a decent sized gap on the inward portion of the starboard side of the bang cap as well that could let water in. At the very minimum, I'd straighten the bang cap out and at reseal everything.

    93 208 Repower - V6 or V8 Mercury

Cockpit Rocket Launchers on Express 330

The table looks good at least... can't exactly say the same thing about the credit card statement. Glad to hear you're happy with your purchase though.

    93 208 Repower - V6 or V8 Mercury

From what I've seen on here, it seems like Yamaha is the most popular choice for outboard repower, followed by Suzuki. It seems like every so often you'll hear about Mercury being a contender because of the weight, but I rarely ever hear anyone considering Honda. I think if I were to repower it...

Anyone Here Buy the '99 Gulfstream on CWS Auctions?

Could definitely be a decent deal depending on the actual condition, especially if you had a trailer already and/or could get the motors operational with little work. I bought my boat out on in Maryland back in 2021 and trailered her back to Seattle which is 3,009 miles away. At the time, I...

    18' 2002 Grady-white Sportsman W/ 4 Stroke

If you zoom in on the second picture you can clearly see the two holes in the floor of the boat where it looks like the original seat used to be from the third picture. Hopefully it's not a scam and is a legitimate ad, though it also does have Virginia registration numbers on the side of the...

    Grady rod holder

I'd say maybe something along the lines of the first link for the top of the rod holder, or the second link for the bottoms of the rod holders... depending on which ones you're referring to. Or both...

    228 Seafarer upgrades questions. MFDs - 2 9s? 1 12" or 16"? Auto-deploy trolling motor and shaft length?

I've got two iPad's now and have only used them a couple of times on the boat when fishing. The most relevant time would probably be the first time I took the boat out fishing with my uncle. He's in his 70's and has glasses, so having an iPad with a suction cup mount at the stern while he's back...

    228 Seafarer upgrades questions. MFDs - 2 9s? 1 12" or 16"? Auto-deploy trolling motor and shaft length?

I bought my boat back in October of 2021 back in Maryland and then trailered her 3,009 miles out here to the Seattle area where I live. When I initially bought the boat, she came with a basic 7" touchscreen Garmin MFD that crapped out on me the next summer when I tried doing a software/maps...

    New model Freedom 415

I mean that doesn't really answer the question all that well or even come close to answering it. You said you'd fork out the price for a 40'+ walkaround if you wanted one, which it sounds as though you don't. So again, who is going to buy something like this? Probably not that many people...

    WTB Adventure 208 / Seafarer 228

Agreed... I love the enclosed transom and bracket. Less likely go get water intrusion, gives you a bit more space in the cockpit area and makes me feel better when having older/younger family and friends in the boat in that they're not going to fall out.

    WTB Adventure 208 / Seafarer 228

I saw that boat on Craigslist the other week and had a few possible concerns about it. First would be that the price seems a bit on the lower side for what you get and especially with it being a west coast/PNW boat. Second, would be that in the listing it says the boat comes with an aluminum...

    Show Us Your Grady

I was going to say, I figured it would be something along the lines of "eww it's all slimy, hold my fish for me while I take a picture next to it" lol Still though, great that the kids and family will go out fishing with you.

    283 Release Repower Question

What year of boat do you have? Per the brochure, the weight and maximum horsepower vary slightly depending on the year of your hull, but it appears it came out in 2003, where the weight was around 5,500 lbs and had a maximum horsepower rating of 500 hp. Then the next year in 2004, it went up to...

    Show Us Your Grady

Damn... those are some great looking kings you guys caught there. Looks like you guys did well and fun was had by all. I definitely got a bit of a chuckle how everyone is holding fish right up until picture #7 :D
