I have an older hull on my 228, and it is in the forward coffin. There is room for a aux tank if I wanted to add it, but I wouldn't use it. My question is on my hull there is a fiberglass bulkhead between the two coffins, and I would think it could be of structural importance not to mess with...

I have a counter rotating on my Honda. Since I have no idea how the normal would work on my setup, I am no help there BUT the counter rotating works fine as far as docking and reverse go. Drives straight as a nail on calm days too.

Yep good catch, that is an 228G hull.

If its me, I would take it all out=cheap insurance.

I have been on both hulls, my '87 hull will pound more in moderate chop but when I added some weight in the cuddy to counterbalance the kicker motor addition, the hull feels like a tank when riding through waves. That doesn't mean it rides better than a SV-2, but good enough for me. I get great...
