    bunk guides

Mine has a zipper on that pocket it slides through. Not sure if was an aftermarket addition since I bought the boat used.

    bunk guides

Sure thing! I see they sell 5' lenghts online, but if you call Pacific and talk to Luis Campalans, I'm sure he will hook you up. https://pacifictrailers.com/collections/guides-side-load-guides

    bunk guides

I added these on my Pacific trailer for $400 when it was built. It can be added anytime. Had the CE Smiths prior to this setup on my previous trailer and Holokai is right, they were useless. Also added the Surfixinc slicks on top of my carpet, as Dennis suggested. The trailer guides really...

    The Walk Around Cuddy R.I.P.

It's an equation of scale, I used to go out of Pillar Point Marina in Half Moon Bay in a 16.5' Arima with a single 50hp Mercury. I remember coming back into shore one day 34 years ago and an old timer told me I had a lot of guts to be out alone in the seas that day. I was just young and...

    Gulfstream fishbox thru-hull

If the hose pick you ordered doesn't do the trick, I would try an adjustable pipe wrench with teeth, or large vice grips and attach it just outside the fitting, then try your back and forth like you did with your hand. If you are braver, a heat gun on the pipe will help loosen it but please be...

    Leaking Fuel Fill Hose

I replaced my hoses a few years ago and had to cut out an access hole like you did. Hose from the factory being too short seems like it shifted slowly over time, probably from pounding from seas while underway. If you get a helper, there should be a cutout under the captain's chair (I modified...

    Is this to low ?

Correct!! My 87 hull was designed for lighter 2 strokes. I really like the boat you are looking at. My 2 cents would be was it dry stored or wet slipped. That is a huge difference in how wet the hull might be. If it sat in saltwater, there is a chance the transom got pickled and the wood is...

    Favorite Trailering Destination:

Well I have been planning on trailering over to the California Bay Area to do some ocean and bay fishing, but it's crazy all the campgrounds are full because of the Covid effect, and reservations are near impossible for me. I really enjoy hearing about everyone's trips, glad when I see posts...

    Bracket question

That's the original Springfield bracket. I have one on my '87 228. I pulled mine off and powder coated it then re sealed it. You might want to do the same, when it came off the transom, water and sand gushed out. I epoxied the bolt holes that attach it to the hull and used 4200 to seal it back...

    228 Seafarer Bulkhead

That sounds like a lot of work. If you were to do that, I think I would finish with gelcoat. Grady just used wood and a veneer to build the boat, so I was okay with cutting out a template and waterproofing the wood, which they did not, and eventually it delaminates.

Front anchor eyelet problem on 226 Seafarer

Had the same problem, please don't lift from the bow eye as others have said. My fix: "I got some braces from Home Depot, and 2 cartridges of West System Six10 from West Marine. 2 part epoxy that is thickened and self mixes as you squeeze through the caulk gun. Squirted that all over the inside...

If you want factory stripes, go to your nearest local dealer and order them. That is what I would do. They are not too expensive.

    232 Kicker options and brackets

Hey Bird Blaster, I have a 228, and a 9.9 high thrust. You will have no problem trolling at those speeds. I usually go between 1.5-2.5mph trolling. Sorry I can't help you on the bracket.
