    Loop Around South Florida

I'm enjoying your adventures....breathlessly awaiting the next post. In 1987 we did the Kissimmee Boat A Cade - to and from Okeechobee...down the east coast and back up the west. Best time of my life. Did I mention we were in a 17' Aquasport CC?

Motor Refit Suggestions for 19 Tournament

Since it sounds like the transom refit is already underway, your options may be to sell it as/is and buy something else, or see it through to the end. I'd look for a Yamaha F150. Perfect motor for that boat...you can reuse controls and harnesses and save some money.

    Do not buy Lowrance

Your location isn't listed, but Amazon shows the transducer available and can be at your door by tomorrow morning. Unless you boat in really deep water, the 83/200 will work just fine.

Minimum HP Grady White Tournament 223?

I owned a 225 Tournament with a 200 Saltwater Series. Added a Mirage Plus 15.25 x 17 prop and that helped, but it's no speed demon. You can get to 40 mph if you trim it high. Low end will be a challenge if you want to pull a skier.

Motor Refit Suggestions for 19 Tournament

Sell it and replace it with a newer SeaV2 192. They are plentiful and the difference in ride will astound you. I've owned both and can speak from experience.

What's a great hard water spot remover

I bought a water spot remover off Amazon. Don't remember the exact name so I'll have to look over the weekend. Works great.

Seems to be sitting a little low

If you put 5200 on it, good luck getting it off. I'd use the chemical 5200 remover, clean it up and use the appropriate sealant.

    Fisherman 222 Transom modifications

Leave the motor where it is. Trim back the flip up gate so that you can leave the gate up and tilt the motor up too. Here's a thread where someone did the same mod.... https://www.greatgrady.com/threads/folding-motor-dam-removal-question.22602/

    Seafarer 228 RPM and MPH

Are your numbers from your GPS or from the speedo on the dash? If they are from the speedo on the dash and/or you don't have a GPS, put a speedo app on your phone that uses GPS and check your numbers. Your RPMs are good, either you have a hub issue and the prop is slipping terribly, or you...

    Towing a GW 235 with BMW X5?

Do you have an Enteprise Commercial Rental in your neighborhood? They rent 2500 pickups. Rent one when the boat needs to go in and out. Another option is a UHaul Truck....not a pickup but one of their box trucks. All have hitches as they are capable of also towing a car dolly.

What is this worth? 2006 GW 225 Tournament

Exhaust Corrosion is a massive issue on the East Coast. And not just on 225s but some F250s as well. The repair, when done early enough and done properly, typically doesn't have to be done again.

    New Suzukis

Ritchie will rebuild that compass and get it back to you brand new. Go to their website, find the nearest authorized repair center, and make arrangements to either drop it off or ship it. Total cost was about 35% less than a new one.

What is this worth? 2006 GW 225 Tournament

The biggest question mark on that boat is going to be whether or not the engine has had the exhaust corrosion repair made. Dealers are complaining that it's getting extremely difficult to get the kits, and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight. My shop, who I trust implicitly and the...

Multiple different Grady White's available on the east coast - Not mine

Just a heads up....I'm looking at one NOT posted here, but my service manager has indicated that the midsection repair kits are not available and Yamaha has no idea when or if they will be available again. His recommendation is to steer clear of one that hasn't been done.

WTB, borrow or rent 2004 Tournament 225 cockpit cover

I’ve had custom bow and cockpit covers made out of sunbrella in the past and it was about $1200 or so for both. A fair price and they fit perfectly, had Velcro flaps around the Bimini frame etc. Go custom - it’s worth it.
