    Removing and Reinstalling floor panels

A common reason for caulk failure is applying a bead that is too deep. In general the caulk should not be thicker than 1/4 or so ( depth not width). If the space is deeper, a foam filler material like foam backer rod should be pressed into the joint to limit the depth of the sealant. Silicone is...

    Adventure 208 steering

I find the recommendation to move the tab as far to the right as possible hard to understand, especially if as far as it can go is 90 degrees. If it is 90 degrees than moving it as far as it can go to the other side would have the same effect ( or close to it) There is a difference between the...

    Adventure 208 steering

200 HP is too much for the original steering system . Grady recommended hydraulic steering for 175 HP and up. That said, the pulling to starboard may be something else. If you mean that the motor is much harder to steer to one direction versus the other, your tab may be incorrectly adjusted. In...

    Removing and Reinstalling floor panels

I don't advise 4200. It's an adhesive and not a caulk sealant. It may also make the lid very difficult to remove if needed later. The GE silicone in almond is the way to go. Seal the lid after it is screwed in. You may want to use a bit of sealant in the screw holes before the screws are...

    Tilt/trim motor intermittent

The OP didn't say if he was pressing the switch while 'pushing very hard'. What also would have helped is if he had tried to tilt the motor down a bit after he was able to tilt it all the way up. Finally, since he heard a click when he pressed the switch, there is no reason to suspect a battery...

    Replacing fuel lines

The reason I don't like silicone or ther lubricants is that the stuff remains 'wet' forever and can make it easier for a hose to get loose or pulled off. The dish soap dries out I also am not sure if the OP has an issue connecting a new hose or instead removing an old one. In the later case...

    2001 Grady white Transom Problem

What model of meter did you use? Had the hull been hauled at least a day ago before readings? Take you meter and measure on several spots neat the bow and below the rub rail by a several inches. If your meter is not specifically designed for fiberglass, it will probably display misleading...

    anyone install a thu-hull for washdown in a 208

Are you referring to the water inlet for a washdown system? If so, the factory fitting is a bronze scoop style. Google that and you will find the Groco parts. On my 208 there are two of these types of hull fitting, once on either side of the keel line and about as far aft as reasonable. One...

    Replacing fuel lines

You can use a heat gun CAREFULLY to soften the hose. You can also try some dish soap and water mixture on the barbed fitting. The soap won't hurt anything

Can't do that on a full tank. Gas will flow out of the sender opening.

Your exprience opinion wanted. Express 330

If you haven't been on a 330 Express, you should. You may or may not like the layout of the helm. Personally, I would not get involved in 350s of that vintage.

    192 Tournament Wiper Grommet?

If you can determine the make and model of the motor, you may be able to contact the manufacturer. I looked at Marinco just in general to see if they list grommets but I didn't see any in their catalog There are grommet kits on the internet but I have no idea if any of them would be a match

Gas tank question. Need help pleas

There may be a device that blocks siphoning gas using a hose. If the tank is still able to fuel normally, the fill hose is not an issue. The risk is that the foreign material may get sucked up against the pickup tube end which may have a screen on it. Unless you notice symptoms, I wouldn't worry...
