I hear ya, I never have either but this is mainly for my truck. It has those iridium plugs with no compression rings and it is highly recommended to torque these type.

Hey can any of you guys recommend a torque wrench for tightening spark plugs? I need to do both my outboard and truck, my truck spec is 11 ft/lbs and the click type I have, even though the low end starts at 5 doesn't work. Thanks

No boating going on so finally got around to painting mine and am very pleased with the result (well so far, time will tell). Rob, definitely looks good. Also you show the unpainted one where the original finish has deteriorated. My point was even after bleaching these they still look bad so that is why I am interested in painting these.

Rob, since you point out the previous discussions, can you provide a pic of your painted armrests and when you did it? I would be willing to try this because bleaching doesn't help much when the factory finish deteriorates to a certain point.

Well it finally happened, gasoline has hit over 3.00 gal in my area and we are still the cheapest in the country. Energy independence sure was nice for no longer than it lasted.

OK why not share where someone has painted these and they have withstood the test of time. I could paint a turd, it may look good at first but what will it look like after a season or two.

I would be interested also if someone was able to paint these with success, not interested in a sock. I've tried to clean mine by soaking in Starbrite but it is like the finish of these things degrade. As a result you have a super clean armrest that looks like crap.

Not sure how helpful this is but I just mounted these recently. They are for 3/4 to 1-1/16 diameter rails and fit mine just fine.

OK, got the kit yesterday and did the repair today. It turned out pretty good. Not perfect but I'd figured I'd better leave well enough alone, I'm probably the only one who will ever notice. I would definitely recommend this kit just for the closeness in color, that was my biggest concern.

For what it is worth. These are some replacement nets I got made from the original vendor. They are not cheap and do not hold up very long. The netting material they use is pure garbage.

Well here is an update on this seat repair with the Performix VLP. It has been well over a year and this stuff is really holding up well. In the real world it is hardly even noticable.

No it is just a scrape in the gelcoat. Believe me I have repaired worse with Marine Tex.

Called the dealer Marine Max and they don't carry it. They have to order it from Grady and it is around 90.00. I ordered this gelcoat repair kit off Amazon instead, hope it works. BTW this damage is much smaller than it appears mainly a chip and a scrape so no glass work is required...
