Fischer Panda ANL Fuse or Circuit Breaker?

If it was me, I would continue to use a fuse. Fuses are faster acting and a lot less susceptible to corrosion and considerably cheaper. A 100 amp Circuit breaker is considerably larger and more expensive. In addition it does not act quite as quickly as a fuse which either melts or does not...

    Keeping cubby door open?

The 330 comes standard with clear plastic “ strataglas” straps that connect via twist lock fasteners to the overhead and stow the same way to the hatch when not in use. You can also change the hinges to higher tension ones as well. I have the standard hinge tension, but I had to get new ones...

I believe mine has a relay at the base of the ram.

330 express - fresh water tank gauge issue/sender issue

In 2016 I changed mine on my 2007 330 and as I remember it, it just popped into the tank and didn't unscrew. I have one invoice in my file and it is from KUS in Davie FL for a "S3U-11 Fuel/Water 1.25 BSP 316 ST/ST Sender." Their part number P/N 153099 for $57.38. I also changed one of my fuel...

    Low Torque Specs

I keep an inch pound torque wrench and a foot pound torque wrench. Both are snap on and come with calibration charts. They are not cheap but are extremely accurate. I use my foot pound torque wrench for items such as head bolts and Lugnuts. Most tire shops use torque sticks on their impact...

    Low Torque Specs

Snap-on makes several that are high quality. You may have to convert ft/lbs to inch/lbs if you have a large range of torque requirements. eg: 11 ft/lbs = 132in/lbs

    New Boat Question

30 amp feed is a standard for marine use. My 330 has air conditioning, stove microwave, water heater, and refrigerator, all AC. Total draw is often much greater than 15 A. 15 A is inadequate for even two or three different appliances. Therefore they go with standard 30 amp receptacles and...

    New Boat Question

Are you sure it is actually drawing 30 A? Or are you referring to the 30 amp capacity of the system. The system is designed to accommodate up to 30 A because of appliances etc. The simple battery charger will not draw but about 5 A. You may not be able to operate all of your equipment off of the...

AC Control Box for Fischer Panda Genset

That is the reason we close the seacock when running with the generator not running. When underway with the generator running, exhaust pressure keeps the raw water from backing up into the exhaust valves. The exhaust is raw water cooled, whereas the block is cooled by antifreeze/water mixture...

    Express 330 concerns?

For the years you are considering, rotten wood should not be an issue in that Grady swapped plywood to Greenwood XL which apparently is a marine grade pressure treated plywood that can’t rot and it’s guaranteed for life. My 2007 had the aluminum bang cap which was beginning to corrode I also...

    Bang end caps

I looked through my invoices but could not find a part number for mine. They all seem to be very similar.

    Bang end caps

Looks exactly like mine. I ordered them through quality boats in Clearwater Florida. I will try to find the part number tomorrow but they were dropship directly.

    Bang end caps

I ordered the bang cap end caps for my 2007 330, along with the newer vinyl bang cap. 7' in my case. The dealer had the part number and drop shipped the end cap pieces from GW. I had to trim them slightly to get the proper fit. May work for your boat, but GW may be able to send you dimensions...

33 express. Toilet seal and lewmar freezing

If you have a vacuum flush toilet, what you hear running is the vacuum pump. There are many places that can prevent it from drawing A proper vacuum. Or the switch that cuts it off, the vacuum switch could be malfunctioning. One way to check the bowl seal is to put water in it and leave it and if...

Adding power assist to a 228?

There is no way you should need power assist with your single engine, even given the kicker. The autopilot pump is different and is a great thing to have, but is completely off line if autopilot is not being used. It could be you need a larger, maybe new, helm pump (it's manual) and/or...

Time for repowering my 336 Canyon

I recently repowered my 330 express from 3.3L F250s to 4.2L F300s. Very happy! A big improvement. Same hull as yours and probably 1000# heavier. The 250s were a bit under powered and the 300s seem a lot more powerful! Grady White has performance bulletins for your boat with twin 300s...

    Anchor rode

Braid is totally different from 8-plait! Make sure not to confuse the two. Braid will not work on your windlass! I've found that SS chain is smoother and seems to go thru the gypsy easier than galvanized. I like it better, but it may not be as strong for any given size.

    Anchor rode

8-plait is highly recommended, but the rode to chain splice is more complex than three stand. There are directions on the Internet and it takes some practice but it’s not hard and it needs to be tapered.

AC Control Box for Fischer Panda Genset

Can I assume that you removed the cover to the AC control box and saw the capacitors and the relays? I believe there are fuses inside the box. On my boat they left enough wire so that I could pull the control box into the aft berth and work on it there.
