Would anyone be interested in having starboard work done?

We've done plenty of panels in black, seafoam, or plexi to flush mount electronics or rearrange a dashboard without doing glasswork.

Would anyone be interested in having starboard work done?

Yes I would just need dimensions and material thickness.

Would anyone be interested in having starboard work done?

Hey everyone, I apologize for not getting back for quite some time. Had a few job changes, new house, etc etc. We are back at it with the starboard work. For right now my father will be handling most of it at his shop while I finish setting up my shop at home. We also do a lot of work with...

    Worth repowering

I would go used if wanting a newer dfi 2 stroke or 4 stroke. You will not get your money back repowering new. Also an 86 model year your transom is more than likely saturated. I'm in the marine business and recently repowered my 88 24 offshore with a new 300 Yamaha after rebuilding/modifying...

240 offshore to 268/270 islander have some questions...

This is going to be a long post. I've owned my 1988 240 offshore ( open transom, single motor) for 4 seasons now and have set the boat up right for how I use it. Ive got a ton of sweat equity into the boat which recently includes redoing the transom and repowering with a 300 Yamaha. Near shore...

    Transom mod/repower update

I would say I spent a solid 3 days cutting/grinding all the nasty out to get to where I could get my first core laminated in. Not fun at all but the end result was worth it.

    Transom mod/repower update

That’s mostly what we use where I work. Awlcraft 2000. I like it a lot because you can walk away from it the way it comes right out of the gun. It will come out even better by sanding with 1500, 2000 and then a 2 step polish but it’s not always necessary ( if you’re spraying a cockpit, floor...

New to me 85' 24' Offshore (Project)

Hey guys I ditched this project a long time ago. I was in the middle of a lot of other projects/work going on and felt overwhelmed and had little time. Ended buying the same boat but running and setup and have been working on it while using it.

    Transom mod/repower update

Went ahead and rebuilt the transom on my 1988 24 offshore. I cut the floor out as most do to get easier access to the wooden core and rear stringers which were also replaced. I used 3 layers of 3/4” mirante and west systems epoxy. The rear stringers I doubled up on 3/4” mirante making them 1...

Questions for those of you who have rebuilt your transoms...

I've watched your videos many times and its giving me more confidence seeing how you have added a bracket and a heavier outboard than what I'm planning and you had no problems.

I'm planning on glassing everything back in the way it was.

Questions for those of you who have rebuilt your transoms...

I used the heavier fabric to tab the stringers and transom in. I forget what it's called but its 0/90 stitched with CSM stitched to the back of it. I used the 1708 mostly just to encapsulate and layer all the new wood. I'm planning on piecing the old floor/well back in.

Questions for those of you who have rebuilt your transoms...

Dennis, the holes in the outer skin were screw holes I drilled to fasten the first layer of plywood to the outer skin. I wanted to use clamps but since I raised the height and closed in the sides, I had no clamps large enough to hold the core to the skin. I removed the screws once the thickened...
