    Bumpers/fenders on a 228?

Thanks all, I'm learning. This forum rocks, I've been looking around, learned the difference between a 226 and a 228, got some advice on docking. Learned that backing up with the engine down on a 228 is not so much, tip it up. I am a total newbie on a Grady White, I'm OK on a Triumph, I can...

228 - making it water tight?

I can't imagine anyone with a GW that wouldn't want in on this. My kid wants to put it to star wars music :) I definitely want to do a 228 formation, add in the 226s, then just add in everyone. We need to talk about what formation would work going out under the GG. If we do a good enough...

    Bumpers/fenders on a 228?

Huh. The blue ones are what the dealer made me buy, you'd think they'd know what size is right. How do you size them? The ones I have are 7 inches in diameter, the balls are 12 inches. I have 6 in total so I run 3 per side. What the heck do you do with them when you are under way? Please...

New guy here with a few questions about a 228 Seafarer

I think that is without the trailer and without gear. I haven't run mine over the scales, I will, but I think it is more like 6500-6800 pounds with the trailer and gear.

    Bumpers/fenders on a 228?

Hi all, Brand new GW owner here, still trying to sort stuff. I'm new to fenders or whatever they are called, my first boat was a Triumph, they have a plastic hull so you just rammed into the dock and shrugged. You can patch that stuff up in 5 minutes, not as fragile as gelcoat. I've already...

228 - making it water tight?

Oh heck yeah! We can do a 228 shoot, a 226+228 shoot, we could do an all Grady White shoot. I think you have to be a little nuts to spend what Grady charges to own one of these boats. 25 year old 228s go for $25K or more, I've seen people on this site hoping they could get one that cheap...

228 - making it water tight?

Joe up in Marin, I think, is getting one as well. He and I want to collect all the 228 people, launch out of Oyster Point or Sausalito, my kid will run a drone when we all go out under the Golden Gate in formation. I think it would be epic. And I'm pretty sure Joe knows about you, he said...

228 - making it water tight?

That is the out the door price, including our 10% sales tax, license, brand new trailer with 4 disc brakes, boat has pump out head, full curtains, live well on the transom, fresh and raw wash down, 250hp yamaha. Before tax and crud it was $117K. If you can get by with a smaller cockpit, the...

228 - making it water tight?

Hi fellow GW folks, New guy here so learning. I have a 2020 228 with a few issues. I've talked to HQ and they are telling me to take it back to my dealer, I don't want to be My Whiney so I'm looking for some sanity checks. I demoed a Fisherman 236 and asked the guy about the bilge, my...

New guy here with a few questions about a 228 Seafarer

Hi, another new 228 owner here, got it just before this COVID-19 stuff so only been out twice. 2nd boat, hopefully the last boat I'll buy. Lots of detail below but what I'm looking at is could I get by with a recent model Toyota Tacoma, V6, tow package as a tow vehicle. I read through this...
