Congrats on the Marln, if f I lived in a warmer climate I would own one.

I have had water in my forward bildge after lots of rain. I find it happens more often when I don’t close my drop curtains. Could also use some new caulk around the anchor locker. Like you my float switch doesn’t work(still trying to figure that out) but the manual switch works.

I’m with Uncle Joe, bow hunting started last Saturday and the stripers aren’t around this year so the Grady stays put for now.

My wife wants a CC to sit up front. I keep putting it off as my boat was in the water and in use until November 22nd last year. Gets pretty cold up north. The enclosed helm with drop curtains keeps it nice and warm and dry.

Success, took the Grady out tonight. Good night less than 5mph winds, short ride but got to open up WOT. Docking was slow and easy, backed right in. Felt good to be on the water again and docking was ok. Like someone said I find it easier to dock when alone. Ready to start fishing again once...

Thanks for the encouragement. Sept-Nov are better fishing months were I am in the northeast so I need to brush myself off and get back out there. Stern in is no issue for me as I have done it lots of times so I need to continue that approach or be “that guy who bows in.” Lol.

Seems a little slow my 226 with an F225 will do 37-38 in ideal conditions.

I believe those years are in the range for the 225 corrosion issues. Mine is an 02/03 and had to have it done with 1000 hours on the engine.

Congrats on the Marlin, have been wanting one for a while but will wait till I move to warmer climate to get one. If the Marlin rides anything like my Seafarer in 1-2 footers you will be happy with what you want to do.

Call Grady White CS, you can tell them what year, and model and they will give you the max weight of the boat, the specs on the trailer and then you can decide on what trailer you want. They emailed me a sheet that had my boat specs.

Not an express owner but I leave my curtains installed all year on my Seafarer. I roll them up and just leave them there, I find it a struggle to take them out and install them again, plus it makes it convienent to just drop them down in bad weather. With them I can use my boat until late...
