I will be using an adhesive promoter on my platform. The groves are there, but not much, as they are pretty worn down from time and exposure. The adhesive on the back of the SeaDek is pretty aggressive and I will handpress, roll, walk it down, so it should conform to the platform pretty well...

No problem. I've actually got 4 batteries in the back. 2 for trolling motor and 2 for main motor and house on a switch. 2 in each box.

Yeah,,,, big red flag with that repair!!! What other hidden gems are on that boat, seen or otherwise?? Pay for a survey for sure, and not one that the seller recommends. You find your own, he works for you.

Curious as why the need for hearing protection?? Been boating for a while now and never noticed my boat being noisy or having trouble talking with my crew. Inquiring minds???

The little SeaDek logo is a non issue for me. I guess I could have requested no logo but it doesn't bother me.

LT,, Actually have 3 Attwood Auto pumps. 1 - 750gph and 2 - 1100's which say 820gph on the label. The 750 is a 3/4" discharge and the 1100's are 1 1/8" discharge. All new, never installed.

Got the dry fit kit back from SeaDek the other day and laid it out where it's going. Looks great, can't wait for the real stuff. Not doing the cockpit for now. Not sure how it would hold up against catfish horns.

Byram,,,, they came on the boat. 2004 228. No other way to get to them once the livewell is in place. You can buy them on Ebay or your dealer and make some L brackets to support them on either side of the bilge.

LT,,, I installed a Rule 2000 and a new SureBail float switch in mine. The original was a Attwood 1250 with a SureBail. I have 2 of those Attwood auto pumps like yours, sitting in my basement, brand new. Let me get home this afternoon and check the GPH, thinking they are 1200 or 1250. Can hook...

I have a Carver for my 228, came with the boat. I keep mine stored indoors the majority of the time. When it's at home, I cover it sometimes.

You'd have to be careful and not get excited while fishing!! :D :cool:
