    livewell too small

I'm looking to do something like that as well. Your boat is similar to my 24 Explorer. I want to be able to have a few different types of bait and that lame excuse for a well is garbage. I don't like the idea of in deck. I took the well out last month to redo some plumbing and I believe you...

It came off my 24' Explorer. I have the brackets for it as well and possibly the ladder. I want to say it's 87" wide. I'm send you a message and I can email you some pics.

full size swim platfor on Offshore w/ Grady Bracket?

I have an original Fiberglass full length platform if anyone local wants to purchase. I was thinking about using it as a bar in my back yard :)

Gas tank replacement 1992 Grady Sport Bridge

I would recommend Mattson. He did my motor bracket and the fuel tank on my Mako. He is the guy making the tank and has been doing so for a few decades. https://www.customaluminumfueltanksfl.com/

New Power on my 96 Islander

When Yamaha bought transoms years ago and provided a solid product it solidified their position. Suzuki is doing the same thing in the repower world. When the new boat market tanks it will be interesting for Yamaha. I want Honda to push a little more. It will only be better for the boating...

New Power on my 96 Islander

I'm going through something similar with my 300. They gave me a 20p on my 300. Only hitting 5400rpms and about 46mph. Burn 8.6 at 25 and 10gph at 30. I'm thinking a 17 will be the ticket. I bought a 18.5 second hand, but the clown spun the hub before I got it.

    Rocker Switch Replacement

I made a blank out of glass. I was going to paint it with Awlgrip but ended up buying a vinyl wrap. I have a good number of switches that will fit your covers. I bought a lot of them on eBay. Ended up getting new covers from New wire. I need to upload my pics. Ended up adding afew more...

    95 226 swim platform

I have one off my Explorer. It's a full length one. I replaced it with an integrated bracket/platform.

    Cockpit floor sealer

The GE stuff works just fine. It does dry rather quickly. Clean as you go for a smooth finish and less likely to hold dirt.

    Yamaha150 VS Suzuki 150 -- Both 4-stroke

Yamaha wasn't even in my search when I was looking. I'm not paying a premium for their lack of support. I would have liked to see the new Merc, but they are so hard to get a hold of. I was a little scared by the reduced weight. There has to be a trade off somewhere. I really don't see a...

    Repower Voyager 248

Thats the newer version of my boat. Just did a single 300 Zuke. When I get the prop dialed in I'll be in the high 40's. I'm hitting 46 at 5400 RpMs.

    Listing to Starboard

Next time you pull up to a Sandy check the tabs. Do they both deploy the same? There is a spring applying 80#s of force to return the tabs. If one of the o-rings is weak in the actuator it may return a bit.

    Washdown broken?

Does the motor run? Those pumps don't last all that long. Pop the inspection cover and see if you can hear it run. If it doesn't test to see if you are getting 12v back there. You can get that valve from Defender Marine. I just replaced mine. Pumps about $130-$150 and that valve is around...

What seastar seal kit do I need for my 1992 grady seafarer

It's crazy $2 worth of o-rings and a gasket is $40. If you can get the gasket separate do that and buy an Oring kit from harbor freight. You will have o-rings for everything on the boat. Just did the fill caps and the Bennett actuators. Paid the $40 for that kit :(

    Grady or Cobia

The customer service is aspect is huge. My brother works for a "custom" boat builder. I can say it's scary what passes through and this brand is top notch. I can only imagine what passes through at GW. With that said, mistakes happen and how the company handles them would be a priority.

I get blasted with ads from Hullstripes on Instagram. They seem to have everything needed.

    Cleaning Fuel Tank Top

Unfortunately, the top really doesn't matter like the bottom. The area that sits on the carbon will rot first and you can see it.

    Fuel tank project is complete

Yep, pretty easy fix. Flip the cover and remove the core. Replace with wood squares or composite covered with a couple layers of 17 or 1808. You can do a better job than the minimum wage work that went into the original.

Do you think twin 115's are enough power for an offshore 242

My 24.4 had a 225 and would touch low to mid 40s. Problem was when I hit a good wave it would just about stall the motor. I would want a true 115 or as close to it as possible. They get like 10% wiggle room.
