The rod holder ones are better. Just make sure you use a small bungee to secure them if they are in the top rocket launchers.

I tow the 244 all over the state. It's been from Pensacola to the Keys pulled by a Tundra with the smaller v8. I get a cool 10mpg.

I'm not a fan of the cutout switch. When I built the Mako I didn't even add it to the cluster. The first time your going through an inlet and that dumb cord wraps around something and pops.....good luck. I won't ever use one of those again on a boat. On the Grady I didn't do the install so...

I was out the door with my 300 rigged for $20k in SE Florida. I used International Marine and had a good experience. A little cheaper than the Mike's, but the Mike's have better customer service.

We have a tank builder/installer in the area that has been doing it for decades. This is how he makes mounting pads to replace the neoprene crap that kills the tank. Step 1 -RTV silcone - make large worms cutting the tip really short. These usually go in the 4 corners on the mounting surface...

The plastic moves a little. I have the same assembly and the small puller worked just fine.

Yep, AutoZone has the small puller that won't damage the plastic. I ended up buying it vs renting. Helm wasn't hard to rebuild.

Nice! How well does it hold? I have seen them mounted on the swim platform down here on Parker's/Grady's and use them as a sea anchor. Anchoring off the stern for bottom fishing is also something you see down here that's probably not popular in other areas.

I did the switches last year. I made a mold and made a solid glass sheet. Covered it in a carbon fiber wrap.

My son and I started working on the Mako again. We are redoing the console and I pulled the amp off. I'm going to put it on the Grady. Anyone have one on a 22-25 foot model and where did you put it?

I have had a GoPro for years, but barely use it. I bought a waterproof point and click recently and started using that more and use my phone with the DJI Osmo gimbal.

If you just need to fill the unit you can do it from the stern. Disconnect the bulkhead fitting on the transom and stick the hose in you fluid container. Retract that tab with the switch and it will fill the reservoir.
