    both batteries relocated to port

I knew you would get it Brian! Those bones might be old, but their tough. :) That boat will probably be so well balanced now, you will be able to tell which side you set your sandwich down on.

Simrad AP to classic Raymarine compatibility?

I was hoping the AC42 had virtual rudder capabilities so I wouldn't need a rudder indicator on the outboards. I will have to try and learn more about that. Thanks wrxhoon.

Simrad AP to classic Raymarine compatibility?

I have an option on a Simrad AP setup. It is a AC42 computer with an AP44 controller and a RPU80 pump. The electronics on my boat is a Raymarine C90W MFD, Raymarine RL80C Radar/MFD and a Garmin Striker 7. The Raymarines are linked thru a Seatalk/2K converter. Is there any reason that that older...

    downrigger ball cradle?

Oh, OK, I didnt realize you had plans to mount them that far forward. I had mine back near the stern. You may want bungees over each one.

    downrigger ball cradle?

L.D. If you use those that Ryhlick recommends, you won't need to put them in a crate. I have used those for many, many miles through some water conditions that was not fun to say the least and the balls never got displaced. KIS.

Lewmar V700: Capstan turns, Gypsy does not. Problem Solved - with Pics. A strand of line slid under a non-moving part.

Print yourself out a copy of the exploded parts view and go out and start taking it apart. Take phone pictures as you go if you are unsure. Stack the parts in order. You will get to understand what "makes it tick" and will no doubt figure out why it is not taking in line. They are pretty...

You Can Call Me Captain Beefheart

Doc, just think how this is going to make things easier. If some of the other features of bovine biology come through. You get to eat your breakfast twice, so you won't have to waste time making a lunch to take along. :)

    DC enclosure v. WA enclosure

I think you will find the DC lacking when it comes to foul weather protection compared to the WA. The tiny head compartment on the DC will be a disappointment also.

That was some trip! That was a good call to go for it. Plenty of boat for those conditions. Glad she ran well.

    Thoughts on canvas cost?

I just had that done for my little 23 foot CC. I used a local custom shop. He is a one man band. He comes out to your boat and talks it over with you, makes some sketches, takes some measurements and calls when he's done. I wanted wings to the outside of the gunnels and zippered sections so I...

    Confusing Battery switches

Thanks Kirk, I will look into the Blue Seas website. If I could find a diagram for my setup, 2 engines and 2 batteries and 2 switches, that would be great. I'm not quite ready to tear into the battery switches just yet. I pulled both trim/tilt units off and have them at the rebuilder. Soon as...
