    Fuel fill hose replacement

When I pulled mine through, I drilled 2 pin holes in each hose 180 deg from each other on each the new hose and the old hose. I then sewed them together with stainless airplane wire and twisted them together like bread ties. That kept my diameter to a minimum. I was able to get it thru without...

(FIXED)99 130TXRY low oil display blinking and alarm?

Both can set alarm. Large tank has 2 floats. The bottom float has like a 1 inch travel on the bottom to trigger alarm and the other one is for level gage. Both floats are on the same sending unit.

First place I would look is the thermostat cavities. Then on to the water pump. You said it overheats at idle or high speed? High speed is h20 pump first then thermostat, then salt build up. Low speed start with thermostat. Then pump.

(FIXED)99 130TXRY low oil display blinking and alarm?

Yes there is a sending unit there. Sometimes the float will saturate and sink even though you have oil in the tank. If you unplug the biller connectors going to the pump in the main tank, you can pull out the sensor, flip it over holding the float up, hook the pump wires back up, and see if...

Check the connector on the end of the wire. Sometimes corrosion gets into the connection itself and cause intermittent problems.

    Anyone used one of these?

I believe that is true. I have never seen a problem from putting clear bowls under the deck. Never heard of a violation or even a warning concerning this either. Guess they don’t enforce this at all. They recommend metal bowls.

The racor brand is the only one that holds up the best. They have a better gage metal, better epoxy coating, and better filter paper that does not break down as easy. When I get a boat in that has the aftermarket replacement, I usually have to clean the yellow filter dust Caused by the cheap...

    Pulling Prop Shaft Housings

He probably used Quicksilver perfect seal. It is like a soft gasket sealer that resists salt. I use the 847 3m. It is like a liquid rubber that seals well and also comes apart well. I usually use quicksilver 2-4C grease on the carrier just behind the prop and 847 for the oil sealing o ring.

May have to raise the engine one hole on the transom mounting bolts. When the motor is too low, steering gets tough on plane and shoots lots of water out the sides of the lower unit at high speed.

    Pulling Prop Shaft Housings

Ah. Ok. Remove the spring around the clutch dog. Be sure to mark the prop end if it isn’t marked by the factory. Remove the clutch. Take the gear off the shaft and there is a spammer nut behind the gear that screws out. Don’t worry, not a left hand thread. Then the shaft will come out of the...

    Pulling Prop Shaft Housings

1 good tip you won’t find on the service manual is to apply a generous amount of 3m 847 under and on top of the carrier o ring before Assembly. Also apply on the outside of each oil seal between the seal and the aluminum housing. Be sure the aluminum is cleaned with emery cloth and wiped out...

    Pulling Prop Shaft Housings

Left and right rotation shift shafts release the prop shaft. Slide hammer method works on both. Puller method only on standard rotation. Puller is a little more aggressive. I usually have to heat 95% of the carriers I pull. Some more than others. I try to not heat as much if the paint job is...
