    While we are on batteries.......

Well....I will tell you Skunk......it was raining....I was wet and miserable.....I was not happy that it looked like I was going to be delayed in winterizing/covering the boat as I always end up in a race with the weather here in the NE. I let the boat get snow and ice in it once....never again...

    While we are on batteries.......

I had a little issue last week as I was prepping my boat for winter storage. I have 2 batteries in my Offshore and a PERKO selector switch. I had no issues all season and I pulled the boat out and put it in the yard 11/26. I powerwashed the bottom....changed lower unit lube etc that day and...

Had a day no boat owner wants, boat sank. Now what. Also Transom and floor work questions.

Hi Glacier....I think this thread has 2 different owners with lost boats. Talons boat sank at the dock and Lucky's boat blew off the lift during Ian.....I think.

Sorry for your trouble Talon....I feel your pain. I hope I am not out of line here and I don't mean to offend but looking at that picture it looks like maybe the boat was tied up stern to windward?

    Hit a buoy

I hear you Dennis but.....the damage is cosmetic....there are no cracks...there is an ugly scuff mark about the 2/3 the size of a dinner plate. I have absolutely no concerns about any structural damage whatsoever. I asked the group here the question about repairs because I have never had any...

    Hit a buoy

It appears to be down to the fiberglass in a spot or two.

    Hit a buoy

Hi Dennis......the "scuff" is a bit worse than just some green paint. The gel coat is damaged....It definitely needs to be sanded down then filled. When I said no real damage I meant nothing more than cosmetic.....and nothing below the waterline.

    Hit a buoy

Hello all.....I was running my 24 Offshore out of my back bay well before sunrise yesterday to catch some striper action. The channel meanders back and forth and the few buoys there are are not lighted. I grew up in the area so I am very comfortable running at night but I still take it...
