Grady White 208 Adventure mooring cover suggestions

When I had my 208, I bought a custom cover for it, made of Sunbrella, from Boat Covers Direct. Ran about $450 if I recall. Fit perfectly, and the one time I tore it, I sent it back and they repaired it and returned it in a week or so. http://www.boatcoversdirect.com

    HPDI VS 4 strokes

200 HPDI was - IMO - the best motor Yamaha made....I'd buy another in a heartbeat. In fact, if I could find a good used 150 HPDI, I'd consider repowering the 180.

    Trailer for 192 Tournament

Those prices seem high... You should be able to put a trailer underneath it, with all the features you want, for less than $3K. Road King will do Kodiak brakes, but its an upgrade. Magic Tilt also uses Tie Down brakes... As far as the sales tax goes, you will pay it when you register...

    Trailer for 192 Tournament

Aluminum w/ SS hardware and torsion axles is the way to go. You are in the range where you could either get a hefty single axle (with 15" rims) or a small tandem. One thing to think about is FL law requires brakes on all axles if the trailer has a GVW of 3000 lbs or more. You are going to...

    Older Gel Coat

Have you tried Collinite? I use the 920 cleaner (apply with the electric buffer) and then the 925 wax...the last step is a second coat of 925 applied by hand and taken off with the polishing pad. I get a great finish on my '98 and it seems to last.

1990 Overnighter 20 trailer options and cost?

Bigfoot, call Steve at East Coast Trailers 407-718-0066. He sells Loadmaster and Hi-Tech. He can get it delivered here to Atlanta although you may need to have it delivered some place with a lift as they come stacked. For comparison, or if you want to buy local...call Greg at Bay...

    150 SWS - Missing / Surging

So....out today....and at varying rpms between 2800 and 4500 I have an intermittent miss or surge...engine clearly losing RPMS....and then it goes away. I checked the usual suspects...plugs/wires all tight...replaced fuel filter with new 10 micron Yamaha. Any thoughts on where to look next...

Test drive - stearing seemed a bit odd......?

If you can't get the cable out of the tilt tube, then the motor has to unfortunately come off...

What GPS/Chartplotter/Radar would you recommend for a T275

BOEMarine has a one day special...just received an email...the 3210 bundle - everything but the 'ducer - for $1479. This is new - not refurbed equipment. The email from BOE was adamant that orders had to be placed today....

    GPS

If your budget is hard and fast at $1000, I'd do this: http://www.getfeetwet.com/products/SKU- ... efurbished)__010-N0527-00-B1.aspx Figure about $60 for a transom mount depth/temp transducer and you are right on budget....

    AGM Batteries

Costco here in the ATL sells them...I think they are around $150 or so apiece. I put them in my 226 and forgot about them...when the time comes to replace the batteries in the 180 I'll likely do the same.

    Mounting Under Gunwale Speakers

I left enough slack in the wires to swivel the speakers forward...if I was cruising any distance and wanted to be able to hear, that's exactly what I would do. It worked better with the curtains down though, otherwise the wind noise was louder.

    Mounting Under Gunwale Speakers

My setup was similar to Strikezone's...however, I used a small piece of split loom and fastened it between the top tubing and the hardtop...you would have had to look really hard to see it. I ran it around to the starboard side, then drilled a hole in the side of the e-box, put a round wiring...

    Double Trouble - 180 Pics

Electronics came with it...had to clean up some wiring and connect the NMEA though. I'd love to find a GSD20 or 21 so I can remove the 160 and clean up the dash. An afternoon with the Collinite and the buffer brought the hull back. I though about replacing the stripe....kind of like it...

    Double Trouble - 180 Pics

Both the leaning post and bow bolsters were aftermarket add ons. The previous owner had all the cushions done by a place called Miami Premier Upholstery...did everything to match (cushions, backrests, etc...) They were done in white, not the off-white GW color.

GPS shuts down on starting outboard

Its a voltage issue...when it drops below a certain point (like when you are starting your engine) it automatically shuts the unit off. I had a Furuno 1650 and it did the same thing....was a nuisance.

    300hp Yamaha experiences??

The 300 4 stroke Yami is a detuned 350....and they both weigh A LOT. (Like 800+ lbs.) If you have your heart set on a 300, I'd look at either the E-Tec or the Zuk...or wait til the Miami Boat Show. Maybe Yami will finally get their 300 out that is based on the 250 block....
