That $260 is probably for the gauge only. You also need the harness and sending unit, which if I recall is close to $200. That picture of wiring shown in the ad is for the wiring which connects the back of the guage to the engine harness.

You want as snug a fit as possible....I would go with snaps...that will keep the animals out and as much of the elements as possible. If a drawstring cover works loose, the wind will cause it to flap.... Make sure that charger has a timer on it so you don't boil your batteries.

Are you going to remove the door and flush mount? If you are going that route, then a 10" (Garmin 3210 or Lowrance HDS-10) will fit. You may have to relocate you VHF though. I'd look hard at an 8" screen....if you do that, you can comfortably flush mount it and the VHF.

I've got the same motor - albeit a 150. Other than a carb problem which was a bear to repair, they are great engines. Thirsty, but they run strong and start right up every time.
