    Fisher finder ideas again

I think they can but you need the Garmin hub back bone thingy to network them. I only run one unit on my boat . I am not familiar with exactly how to network the two. I just read on Garmin website it can be done. I bought a 941 XSV and love it. GPSMap series does expand the ability for radar.

Salty dogs and why I love this forum

Just call me Thurston Howell, the 3rd. I like being rich ,filthy rich. I also like being beautiful too. Beautiful and rich are the only way to live my friend. When you go to THT all and I mean all Grady owners are considered googans with sand bar queen boats. lol. I think Grady's gave a cult...

2018 215 Freedom Gas Fill Problem

impressed by diagnostics here. I am not sure if heater hose is certified to be used as a fuel application here. Marine gasoline hoses are certified by the coast guard. I replaced my fuel vent hose and fuel fill hose on my boat this spring and used MPI fuel hoses for both applications. Grady...

    Radar Question

wow, makes you wonder how well their radar spotted you if at all? I have radar on my 228..it's a great safety tool and when I got night fishing in the Florida keys it's a huge peace of mind having it. put it another way, that $1,300 could save your life be avoiding a collision either with a...

    Ok....you all needed a chuckle;)

Those guys at Sea Base Pamlico are awesome!!!!! So, my youngest son Cole has epilepsy. It manifested itself when he was 13. Initially our Troop was supportive but then the committee chair got wigged out by the risk factors of taking an epileptic to a high adventure camp. They were thinking if...

228 Grady owners experience with In Hull transducers

mine will operate at 50/200 simultaneously. is your tank pushed aft? I think KY has the same model year ? If you go external as Glacier said you need to make sure it's in clean water coming off of the hull.

    what would you do?

Dennis, you got a point. I crawled under the boat and the blisters are truly isolated to a small section about 6 inches wide and 18 inches long. No where else on the hull are there any signs. I will talk to the glass guy and get his vibe on it. Kyle has an amazingily good soul. He is so kind...

    what would you do?

Thanks guys. We actually don't get much growth at all in Fontana..I get a scum line but that's pretty much it.. Every couple weeks we brush or sponge it. Turns out blistering is really more a freshwater phenomenon due to greater osmotic pressure gradients between the outside freshwater and...

228 Grady owners experience with In Hull transducers

I have seen fish ,but if you're running 25 to 30 knots they really need to be schooling. it's not chirp ,it's dual frequency. my transducer is from 2009 and my plotter is now 2020 Garmin 942 xs plus. It will drive chirp, side vu and Panoptix plus 50/200hz . So, I suspect new transducers...

228 Grady owners experience with In Hull transducers

I have an Airmar M260 shoot through the hull ducer on 08 228. It's mounted in the aft compartment diagonal from the 10 gallon tank . my boat has the gas tank mounted all the way forward and a small square compartment aft of it for the water tank. Works like a charm holds the bottom to 1,000...

my son went through Scouts from First Grade to Life . He was burned out by 10th grade. lots of great memories. That is a cute video. Good job. However, I am so thankful I don't have to do any more Trails End popcorn stuff. It's a marginal product that is too expensive and way too much...

    Saddest day of the year

For my coastal NC brothers , I would attempt to boat some in the winter. here in the mountains it's just not fun. no places to really go,no water front restaurants, and since I don't really freshwater fish much ,well that's off the table too.. a couple winters ago I saw Fontana Lake covered in...
