Starboard Low Oil Alarm - Where to Start

Not sure which tank your gauge reads, but if you went from full to half to alarm in six miles, you have a major leak, not a filter issue. That should be easy to find, from the mess in your bilge. If you end up pulling the remote tank to fix the leak, or to clean up the mess, by all means...

    Rhodan on a 226 Seafarer

This was an interesting install on a similar bow arrangement. I guess the shaft slides forward enough before tilting to avoid having to cut the rail. The plywood pattern ended up as 3/8 aluminum plate...

Grady hit by whale in Rhode Island

Probably a tail slap, unless the guy just suddenly turned in front of the whale. What's the minimum distance you are supposed to maintain?

Thanks, one more hole would put me top hole on the bracket, third hole down on the motor. Is that your goal, and KY's setting?

Concrete is probably out of sight in the foreground, and the water has receded beyond it.

what to replace raw water washdown/livewell pump with?

First thing you should do, if there is a filter between the intake and the pump, is to take that filter apart and clean the screen. It can make the difference between Shurflo, and Loflo. But, if that is the only pump in the system, you should install the pump Hookup linked for livewell, and have...

I asked this before, but I don’t remember the answer. If I want to slide my motor up one more hole, are the threads inside the bracket fixed, or do I have to open it up and get a socket on the bottom nut?

PNW, you may have the same motor/boat/prop combo, but I don't think you are having the exact same experience. What are your numbers with the 17M? Mine gives me 40mph at 5000, and his apparently needs close to 5000 to stay on plane.

Cost for thorough cleaning and ceramic coating interior/exterior 1988 22' Seafarer Cuddy Cabin

One of my questions would be how to maintain a ceramic coating yourself. I would like to get my boat completely detailed, and I feel like I could then maintain it. As a week-ender at the coast, and a geezer, a complete compound, wax, and detail is more than I want to do on a dull boat finish...

Trim Tab Pump Location 2000 Gulfstream 2000

If you are asking me about steps #3 and #6, that was part of what I copied and pasted from Tom's reply to someone else. "....Take a look at step 3 (and step 6 if it's an older system) try it right behind the switch and directly at the pump and let me know what you find."

When you say you plane at 38-39K, is that what gets you up, or do you fall off plane at anything below that? With 17M, I get 35 at 4500, and 40 at 5000. Are you getting speed from GPS, or from gauge? How long have you had the boat, and are you sure the 17M is stock, and not been reworked?

    Gas Tank Issue

Do you have clear filters, or metal cans? Curious if you can see the fuel level in the main tank filter when the engines start to cough. You may pull enough fuel at idle, or even 2500rpm but no load, but not enough running on plane. When it starts to cough, check the filter level, and as Dennis...

I have a 2000 with a 225 OX66. Running a stock ss 17M, my cruise was 4000rpm/30mph/3mpg. I recently started running a Power Tech 15.25 X 16 four blade, and my numbers all dropped. 4000 now gets me about 27 mph/2.5 mpg. Everyone seems to love that set up, and the bite is solid at all speeds, but...

2000 Seafarer, mine is under the starboard vee berth, back towards the helm as far as it will go. Look for an orange wire from your fuse block, that is power to the unit.
