    2001 250 HP 2 strokes versus 2014 300 HP 4 strokes

Sounds like a reasonable way to upgrade to 4 stroke technology and to get a pair of engines that are 13 years younger than your current setup. Good investment but fuel savings is just one of the benefits. You don't hear to many people saying they wished they stayed with 2 strokes over 4 strokes!

Sailfish Faucet on Port Side Question

Maybe it is wired like a light switch in the home. The power line runs to the switch and through the switch to the pump. The ground would be continuous to the pump , thus the two orange wires.

Sailfish Faucet on Port Side Question

Just a guess but I would assume it is wired to an accessory fuse block somewhere in your cockpit area. The newer boats are faucet pressure activated which are controlled by rocker switch on the cockpit panel labeled fresh water.

    Boat launched - failed... heh

Some people connect a water source to a hose to a plunger cup and run there washdown and live well pumps to test or to run anti freeze through in cold climates. The windshield wash is powered by the fresh water as you found out. Sounds like a hose running to or from the on off knob is loose or...

Starting to regret buying this boat

What did you do about the side not charging? I notice the Red and green lights out on 1/2 half of my guest charger yesterday. Mine is wired to a single bank and a pair of batteries wired in parallel. The single bank has the lights out. Checked the fuses to each bank and both good.

No power to Isotherm refrigerator in Sailfish

No it was connected to a fuse in the block but when I checked the fuses in the fuse block they were all good. It was the corroded connection that caused the iissue - 15 year old boat, guess I should be doing more proactive inspecting of these connections throughout the boat.

Mystery solved. Traced the orange wire from the power block under helm and it connected to a fuse under helm. The fuse was good, the connection not so good. Popped a new one on and now back in business. Thanks for your help
