Resolved - Newbie Questions on a 282 Sailfish

Got it, I think we may be talking about different outlets. The breakers you described are for the 120 Volt shore power outlets. I think Wahoo is asking about the 12 volt outlets that are used to charge phones and small electronics

Resolved - Newbie Questions on a 282 Sailfish

Trying to envision this - is the breaker an actual switch, is it located in the head compartment or is it in th rear berth area?

Resolved - Newbie Questions on a 282 Sailfish

Hi Rob, I have a 2004 Sailfish but they should be similar set ups. Freshwater - there is no valve on my mine for water to flow - when the pump is turned on the water flow directly to the hot water tank and the cold water outlets. Before replacing the pump I would disconnect the inflow hose and...

    Fish ability question

I've brought many 200+ pound tuna in through the stern of Sailfish and never an issue with the engines. Ground fishing is usually as KY Grady stated over the side.

    Installing the new Hardtop

Hardtop looks great - Did you remove strips and decals from the hul? I like the look but wonder if I would get bored with it eventually. The stripes and decals look good when they are new but once the fading and nicking set in they can drag down the look of the boat.

    Huddle up. It's decision time.

I had the same issue with my 2004 225's. I did not want to sink that kind of money into 14 year old engines so I opted for option c and got 250s. I had no plans on selling or upgrading my boat so I had an easier decision on the making a 50K+ investment decision.

    Enclosed pilothouse to Grady white?

I have a 28 Sailfish and heat the cabin with shore power or a portable Honda generator. Good for spring and fall warm ups but not for winter weather. Are you planning on using the boat all year or just summer?

Who here uses and/or has a checklist?

There are 4 valves that are attached to seacocks. On my boat the washdown and livewell are under the stern seat. The head has valves in seacocks - one is the raw water intake for head operation and the other is the out valve for head discharge. The outlet should always be off and secured -...

Who here uses and/or has a checklist?

One water tank - Sailfish is 30 gallons, no saltwater tanks, the washdown and livewells operate using pumps which access saltwater through seacocks. Depending on where you are boating the washdown and livewell could be fresh water too (stating the obvious).:)

    Jabsco Head; Lights Flashing?

For pump out service you just connect to the marina pump out and there equipment does all the work. The on board pump is for discharge overboard when you are in legal water to discharge. The holding tank is only 10 gallons . Good luck

    2017 F250 question

Well dropped off the boat at the dealer a couple of days ago and heard back today. Yamaha is sending two complete trim and tilt units to replace the defective ones. Both units had failures at the same time. I still find that hard to believe but the service manager said Yamaha did not question...
