Update on engines....back to the drawing board lol

I run mine in a tank also, but make sure you get one tall enough to go over the plate as if it was submerged. My HPDI's don't want to pee unless they are very well submerged. I have to block my tank up so that the lower unit is touching the bottom of the tank to get mine submerged deep enough...

Look What I Found on Craigslist

I used to live in Lexingon, KY. I don't recall having any Palm Trees there! :p

    Marine Speaker Covers

Tell me the story on those walkway lights? Are they the transom lights I have found online searching? Do they glare in your eyes? I was looking for a replacement from my originals, but need a larger light, like a 3" so it will completely cover the holes. They look really good!

    Gulfstream deck panel repair

Steve, just as reference, this was my approach for my Swim Platform and I did the same for my Large floor panel. https://www.thehulltruth.com/boating-how-s-kerno-memorial-forum/466098-balsa-core-lamination-procedure.html

    A Hull Lot Better

Haha, yeah, hours of polishing will reveal muscles you haven't used in years, but after a while you adjust. Best to find a comfortable position when polishing to keep the stress down and it will make it a lot easier. There is a technique! The worst part for me is getting the cabin polished...

    A Hull Lot Better

Thanks Lee! It does look great! I am still going at it on mine! Love the Vibracut! I think I have at least 30 hours so far, but getting closer! For the Rub Rails, best cleaning agent I have found is Interlux 333. It removes a bit more than the Acetone or Denatured Alcohol from my experience...

    Anyone know this part number?

Russ, is this a circuit breaker by chance? It looks like one. I just had to replace several of mine also. It looks very close to what I just replaced. My post is here: https://www.greatgrady.com/threads/circuit-breaker-replacements.28846/#post-180580

    Circuit Breaker Replacements?

Yeah, mine also broke at the base of the threads. Seemed a bit of stress moving wires behind the panel in the colder weather snapped off 4 of my breakers at the base. All replaced now and good to go. By the way, I ran a heat gun in the cabin bathroom, access area behind the panel to warm up...

    Circuit Breaker Replacements?

Update! Got my new breakers in. They are exact size replacements. I had 4 of mine broken, so replaced them and will just let the others stay for now. The only difference is the threads are slightly different enough where I can't reuse the original waterproof boots, but I did order new ones to...

    Circuit Breaker Replacements?

Good point and was not thinking about that, however, based upon the picture size in comparison with the terminals, they appear to be exactly the same as the ETA's . I hope the pics are accurate! Fingers crossed as they should arrive next Friday.

    Circuit Breaker Replacements?

Thanks Dennis, spot on! I checked further and have sinced learned the breaker size protects the wiring as you said and that the wiring I am using is rated for 15 amps, so should be ok with the 15A breakers. None of my old one's have the labels in tact so not sure what they were. I also...

    Circuit Breaker Replacements?

Looking at the Grady manual, and the old one's are not well documented specifically to breakers, but I see the most fuse amps are 15amp. So think I will go for the 15A Blue Seas I can get from here: https://www.alliedelec.com/product/blue-sea-systems/7056b/71660581/ Will wait for your advise...

    Circuit Breaker Replacements?

Hi folks, was just replacing some of the Euro design Green LED switches I finally found a source for, and in doing so, and guess it is cold enough pulling on the wires, a couple of my ETA 1658 breakers broke off at the threads. Any idea of good source for these? I did find them online, but...

    Trailer question

I replaced my Road King this year and they highly suggested after seeing mine sitting on the old trailer to go to the 10Kish trailer over I think was an 8600# before. WIth the 16" wheel/tires, it made a huge difference and rides much better. No more squatting .I am very happy I went to the 10K...

    Shiny!

Lee, an update worth mention....if you want the finish to really pop, use a Finishing compound after the cutting compound. I went back over some of the areas that seems a bit cloudy in the reflection with some Total Boat Finishing compound I had not yet tried out and it was pretty darn good! The...

    Shiny!

For the heavy cut compound, I use a normal 7" Polisher. DA never seems to do the same result. You can get one with a coupon from Harbor Freight for usually around $30 or so which I have 2 of these and have used them for years. They are ok and do the job, but will be going for the Dewalt model...

    Shiny!

Thanks Fishtales, yeah, you have to stay after it once done to this level, but that is my issue, never have time during the season to keep up with it! So back to the polishing. Leeccoll, here is what I have found to work the best for me so far. I start off with the cutting compound. Best I...

    Shiny!

Now I feel the pressure! Have had some very nice weather to take advantage of so far this January. Been in the 60-70's. As of this weekend, will take a dip to act like January. But who knows, even in the upper 40's to 50's, can still get some polishing done! ;)
