    LED spreader lights recommendations

This is why I was reserving the purchase of the lumitec's. Thanks for letting us know about the powder coat. That is the same issue I have with my Dr. Kevin's, even replaced by them, still they lose their coating, corrode horribly and are now starting to separate. Soon, I am sure the light will...

    LED spreader lights recommendations

Thanks Bob, in regards to the hole in the forward gunnel under the pulpit, mine already has one fortunately since the former owner must have had something running through at one time. I had sealed it off with a plastic insert, but should be easy enough to remove and then run wires and caulk like...

    LED spreader lights recommendations

Thanks for the pics Bob! Looks great! Bigger than I would have thought, but looks good though! Will have to do this as winter project for sure! Got to figure out where to mount the switch though! Based on the light on the water, assume when running, the bow will lift and then light is showing...

Livewell/ Fish boxes re Rubber Seal

Best option is to order the Taco D style rubber which helps seal off water from livewell spill over, etc. I used that several years ago and it seals very well! I used the magnet option to hold the hatches open. Much better for me than the gas springs.

    LED spreader lights recommendations

Hi Bob, any chance for those pics yet? Was doing some research on the new Aurora Sport night vision camera linked up to a tablet or phone, but seems from other reviews and users the technology is not quite there yet for what I want it to do. Users having grainy views and constant unreliable...

    LED spreader lights recommendations

Thanks Bob, a pic would be worth a thousand words for sure! That is a huge light....lol.... I measured under my pulpit and maximum underside mounting width is 12-1/2". Did the brackets fit within this dimension when reversed ? Also, another option is to mount underneath the hardtop in the very...

    LED spreader lights recommendations

Somewhere a while back someone posted about an LED light that they mounted under the bow pulpit to see going forward. It was a light bar, not a spreader light if I recall. Anyone recall this? I would like to put one under the pulput so I can see when running out the inlet at night in big seas...

    228 Windlass install completed.

KY Grady, how is that M1 Mantus working out for you? Would love to see a pic from side angle sitting on the pulpit. I am tired of my 22# Delta not setting quickly each time I go bottom fishing. Have seen the video comparisons of the Mantus vs all others and how quick they set. Just worried if...

    Time for a new trailer

When I am by myself, I power up to the stop best I can, and leave the motors in gear so it doesn't slip back, then I just jump on the dock and go around and secure, then go back and power down. Seems scary to do this, but have never had an issue. I used to reach over on my 20' bowrider, but no...

    Time for a new trailer

Good to hear the followup. I also got my Road King replacement, but they made it a bit heavier duty with heavier bunk brackets and 16" tires/wheels. It towed a bit better running near the 10K load range. Pulled it back from the coast this morning for 3 hours. Nice to have zero issues even though...

    Keel Hitting Trailer Axle

Have had same issues with my older Road King trailer and even with my new one that is heavier duty. The keel is so deep, it will hit the rear axle before the boat starts to hit the bunks. Can't move the bunks in or they will not be under the stringers. Solution was just to get some keel pads...

    Repower of 282 Sailfish

Are these new motors considered as Verados?

    Repower of 282 Sailfish

Awesome! I too think those are going to be great motors and the weight is spot on for replacing HPDI's. If I ever need to repower, it will be same motors but in 200hp version. Let us know how they perform and overall experiences. Love to hear about them. So far, I haven't heard any negatives on...

    Bow Pulpit Upgrade

Thought I would give an update after first time anchoring at sea while reef fishing. First retrieval in over 100' the anchor came up and righted itself and came over the roller perfectly. My son-in-law turned and smiled as if, why didn't we do this fix years ago! Finally, the solution to...

    Auto pilots

I troll all the time with mine which is usually from 4mph to 8mph and have no issues. I have kept it in idle speed before, but depending on wind it needs to be able to follow the wind or it will constantly be trying to overcome the windage or drag of the hull in the current. I imagine that is...

    Auto pilots

Hi, I had just responded to your other post and forgot to answer your full question. I have my Autopilot running from my HDS Live 12 units. I have 2 of these head units and run my Halo24 radar, Autopilot and SiriusXM from the WM-3 for the satellite weather. Will upgrade to the new WM-4 coming...

Lowrance Auto Pilot with twin outboards

I just ran 30 miles offshore first time this weekend and seas became very rough 4-6' and the autopilot never missed a beat. I use it all the time and love it. Saves a lot of manual work and an get lots done with it. Not sure how I ever survived without one! It has worked flawlessly. I do wish...

    Replacing GW Switches

I was able to find these most recently. Almost exact replacement of my originals but with green led. Not sure if they have the dual function switches though. https://www.hawkusa.com/manufacturers/nte/switches/rocker/54-736-2

I wonder how they would do with the mulcher kit?
