    Guilty pleasure ...anyone else

Qualified captain is pretty good content. There’s started to be some drone footage too which is pretty cool. I also like bayrippers for the 2stroke fuel burn and hearing those engines sing

    Anchor line

Check the specs of your windlass. If your line goes through it not all types of line will work. That said, like Dennis mentioned, New England ropes is known as the gold standard for any type of lines https://www.anchoring.com/blogs/anchoring/what-type-of-rope-chain-do-i-need-for-my-windlass

Yes I watch them too, some good stuff on there, some jackasses. I am also curious how these people afford these things!

    Wanted: Seafarer 228 in SoCal

I think they still are servicing, just no new outboards being made under the brand. I could be wrong though

I mean because you’ll always be on the boat anyways Sorry wasn’t meaning to be cheeky about your finances which are none of my business I can imagine you’ll love the bigger boat

Looking for some info on an express 330

You might contemplate selling the home to live on the new boat ;) I’d suspect since 330s are a whole new class of boat, they’d be less impacted by the COVID boat boom seen in pricing on all the smaller boats.

    2006 Tournament

Can tap the transom with the handle end of a heavier screwdriver and listen for dull thuds. Inspect closely on the inside and near through bolts/screws. while on the hard, tilt the engine up and put some weight on it looking for any flex in the transom. It’s something to look out for and fix at...

84- 20’ Overnighter Hull to Deck joint repair

You may want to tape off the area to contain the gooey mess. Wear throwaway gloves. I think the best way to seal after what Dennis suggested is to let the 5200 set for 24 hours - then tighten screws all down tight. Allows the 5200 to gel, create a gasket, without squeezing it all out while wet...

Just had a nice little 560 mile journey, Sailfish 282

I assume you are talking cape cod canal - there is a speed limit technically. the Sandwich end of the canal gets choppy entering cape cod bay. A lot of cross traffic ahead of the railroad bridge between Marion/Wareham and Falmouth/pocasset on a weekend (not so much weekdays) and just a lot of...

    Broker boat knowledge on vessel

While I don’t disagree, I’d try talking to the mgmt at the dealer, before going formal with a claim. Local boating circles are small enough that you don’t want to piss off someone you’d run into again. You may need their help someday too, this Grady or another.

    Kicker motors

I’d not expect this to be a major problem for you. The reputable bracket builders know the typical dimensions of outboards, and the sizes don’t deviate that much brand to brand.

    228 Seafarer chalky rubrail

Just be careful not to use too much acetone and you don’t want to use it on the gelcoat or fiberglass because it’s a bit too harsh. Use only as much as needed for the job

    228 Seafarer chalky rubrail

Can use a rubber hammer as well to tap into place in the tough spots too
