    Cost of Ownership Question

A good relationship with the marina and a solid boat mechanic goes a long way. You want them to help you when you need their help. You can do a lot of the work yourself though, especially if you’ve got a number of people benefiting from its use and that are happy to help you. Just set the...

    Cost of Ownership Question

To start: would you keep at a marina or at mooring? If marina- you’ve got monthly dues, usually priced annually and paid upfront - thousands per year based on size of slip/berth. If mooring- it’s the cost of the mooring, chain and diver, and getting the location approved by the local...

    Yamaha 2stroke question

I was thinking maybe the floater wasnt freely floating in the bowl in the carbs... might have gunked a little to make it a little sticky instead of moving freely.

    Marine Grade Teak

So satisfying to reclaim old teak wood furniture. I’ve used Daly’s Seafin teak oil. Doing a couple oil coats and then wait a few weeks and then going to apply some coats of epifanes varnish.

    Resealing a gas tank

My 2 cents is that while going through the effort to pull the tank, it’s typically worth it to go new... so you aren’t pulling again within 5 years

    Downtime

Use stabil or similar fuel treatment. 2 strokes are pretty reliable. I’d say 3 weeks isn’t bad at all.

i give it another 3 years and many of these boats will be sitting and come up for used sales, but it’ll take some patience

    Honda 225 beep

I’ve had an oil sensor on a different outboard, maybe it was a misfire if you aren’t experiencing any other issues.

    Broker boat knowledge on vessel

A well worded letter to the CEO might not hurt. Express your interest in still getting a quality boat from them when it becomes available. Id think GW will not want salesmen on their team if they misrepresent to a customer. Maybe it’s a new employee who doesn’t know better. The boating industry...

    Skene Bow Chocks

    Skene Bow Chocks

Try perko brand. Shouldn’t be that expensive, your price seems high. might be a larger size than you’d need.
