    New update

With all the stuff you have poured thru the cylinder, AFAIK, you still haven't reported any compression numbers with oil in the cylinder. That oil is not a lubricant, or to free up anything stuck, it is to fill the ring grooves, and see if the test numbers go up b/c of bad rings. I have never...

    New update

Hard to oil the rings on a horizontal cylinder. I would bump that cylinder halfway up, and soak all around it with a squirt can, then spin it over a couple of times by hand to make sure you don't hydralock it, before I screwed the compression gauge in. Or do it all with the engine tilted full up.

Trolling with my GW 282 Sailfish.

I guess it depends on how slowly you need to go, not how fast.

    Those kill switch thingies?

I think the most popular wireless, at the moment, is the Fell MOB. I had one on my 1801 Parker, and it functioned as advertised.

"93 Tournament 225 Steering Helm and Cable

Got down last night, disconnected the steering link from the engine, and it was easy one finger steering from the wheel to the disconnect. Worked on pumping new grease into the steering shaft on the motor, and got it noticeably looser. Went too far, and decided to move the steering link from the...

"93 Tournament 225 Steering Helm and Cable

Motor is getting hard to turn. Want to have parts on hand to fix the problem. GW did not have the info for the mechanical steering. First time I have ever called, and they did not have the info at their fingertips. I guess I and the boat are ageing out of relevance. I didn't know hydraulic was...

I believe each rocker switch has an indicator light when turned on. Which switches light up, and which don't?

    272 Sailfish

If it is a rubber boot, it has a breaker re-set under it. Push to reset. Feel the ones that work, and see if the ones that don't work feel taller under the boot. You should be able to look under the dash, and see a row of breakers above each switch. Fused switches usually have a screw off cap...

Missing canvas post snap on windshield

One end of the clip is a hook, the other is a press on clip. On the clip end, get a knife blade, or a flat blade screwdriver under the lip and lift. if you can’t get to the lip, slide the knife blade under the clip, and lift on the clip end. In either case, put your other hand over it, so that...

How do you change the settings on WINDY? My app is all metric, wind is m/s(meters/sec?) I couldn't find a settings, or units tool bar.

    What can it take?

In 2 to 3, in that boat, comfort is more of a concern than safety, but you can still get beat up. Download an app like WINDFINDER, install a bunch of local spots, inshore and off the beach, and study the relationship between wave height and interval. On the ocean side today, Atlantic Beach Pier...
