    Livewell help

Hi Dennis, now down to type of materials here. As I recall, below waterline should be bronze and not use dis-similar metals, so assuming that the original Grady Seacock is bronze, would need to either use a plastic type of T fitting and nipple or go bronze. I was not able to find anything...

    Livewell help

Hi Dennis, I agree with the risk, but in my case, the pump will be well below deck and will never be impacted in any way so think that risk is minimal in my case based upon how this boat is setup. I do agree though in regards to if I kept it in the water, I would have the concern as well but...

    Livewell help

That was what I was thinking also Dennis. I have to figure out how to mount the valve and also allow for winterization. With this style pump, I am perplexed at the moment of how to winterize since the pump is pulling directly from the seacock valve, unlike now, my 2 pumps (washdown and...

    Livewell help

Thanks. I just found a springless check valve made by Whale. I think this will be perfect as it has no pressure restricting the flow.

Hi 1stGrady, sorry to resurrect old thread, but how did the higher loop work out? I am getting ready to switch over from my Shurflo Pro Baitmaster diaphram pump to a Shurflo Piranha centrifigal pump which will direct thread onto the seacock. Reason for this is that the Baitmaster pulls about...

Telescoping boarding ladders on new Grady's

Found a pic on Ebay for the Amarine brand, but not sure the quality of it. Anyone knows more on this, would be great as I would like to get one from a known brand.

Telescoping boarding ladders on new Grady's

I checked windline, but they don't show any with the double wide rungs. I currently have the windline 3 step I added a few years ago. I think the double width will help a lot with my feet issues. Getting older! :?

Telescoping boarding ladders on new Grady's

Anyone know the source/manuf. of the new telescoping boarding ladders? What I like about them is the dual rung steps that allows more support for your feet. I can't find these online anywhere so far, so not sure they are Grady exclusive or not....

    LED nav. light dim

They are not that expensive to replace but once moisture gets in there the diode usually is burned out . It is best to replace it. I do think this is very rare for these sealed modules to fail.

    gas tanks

In my case, I had the floor panel pulled and had full access to all fuel lines. However ,the fuel fill line goes through the stringer and routes up through to the fuel fill in areas not accessible. So what I did was cut off a short 6" or so section of heavy wall pvc pipe to fit correctly inside...

    gas tanks

I pulled my tanks out about 5 years ago when I purchased this boat. Inspected and found that where they sit on the bottom rubber strips, was where most of the corrosion damage was. However, was not too deep, or not deep enough to be concerned for new tanks. So I cleaned them, sanded, cleaned...

    LED nav. light dim

I had one of my LED nav lights do the same thing, very dim, then shortly went out. Had it replaced under warranty from Attwood. Pulled the light off and tested voltage to the wires and had full voltage, so knew it was the led.

    Boarding ladder extension?

I had similar issue when I got my model. Heck, could not even get into the boat at a gas station, so had to climb up the front winch post and pull myself up to fill it up! Fortunately, I had the full swim platform over the bracket and was able to purchase the 3 rung extendable model and it...

    Teak

I got mine from EBAY a while back, but none there currently. However it was through Taylor Marine I believe and there is another post on this site saying they got same trim from Taylor and it is still available. I would imagine any of the Grady dealers can get it.

    Bow Light mounted under pulpit?

I guess I spent too much time, more than the 30 seconds. I could not find it in white! However, it is uncanny how much it looks identical to the one on Superbrightled's site.

    Teak

Hi JeffN, the trim I would use instead would be the Grady White Vinyl Trim like shown here. Seems to be holding up very well now after a couple of seasons since I replaced the original aluminum trim. You can see the example here:
