    Anchor and Chain size

Here is a simple fix for those that can't get their Delta to self launch. Added 2 lead strips, 4oz each for total of 8oz and she launches fast now.

Advise Needed Installing Pulpit Windlass on 208

You can find posts I have on my windlass install....sorry not the 208, but like you, I did not want to butcher up my access hatch. So far, it works very well. I went to SecoSouth and got the 8plait like everyone recommended with the 1/4 chain. The 8 plait is amazing and very supple. Folds down...

    gas tank issues

Try the freeze spray to see if it might help. Also try the impact drivers that you tap on with a hammer. Most motorcycle shops use them due to the aluminum and SS combinations. Soak the heck out of it, but I have found the freeze spray does the trick on small stuff like this most of the time.

    Anchor and Chain size

I started with the 14# delta and moved to the 22# delta. Same Chain and rode recommended with the lewmar windlass...1/4 chain, 30ft. and 8 plait rode, 500'. So far, it works out fine and no issue. PS....the 14# held fine but tried the 22# to see if I could get it to self launch easier thinking...

Snake a network cable on a Sailfish

I used a nylon fish tape I got from Harbor Freight and it worked very well overall. Lots of options there. I used the Yellow nylon rope as tracer to leave in there. Since I did that, I bet I have had to snake through this chase 6 or 7 additional times so have another second rope to pull through...

Looking for material to replace your dash panels?

Thanks Fishbust, that is a beautiful job for sure! You should be very proud for that level of craftsmanship! At this point, I will live with the warping starboard. I refuse to touch wood and varnish again for purposes of a boat. I loved my teak in my older boat...it was beautiful when oiled...

Looking for material to replace your dash panels?

Interesting approach for sure. Not the best way....not so sure it is not spam, but the site does work. I would still consider any product made that can replace the old Duratrim that Grady used back in the day. Seems no one makes any type of product that can do what it did. a. Simulated look...

    Props for Z200's

Thanks folks.... So Marty, you are saying that a prop shop can change the pitch like say from 17 to 19? I guess that is possible but at $250, it they don't do as well, then have to put them back again to the 17. I am betting that 19 is the right way to go though based upon the RPM's, but after...

    anchor type

In regards to self launching, I figured out how to get mine to self launch with 4oz lead strip weights. See pic on last page in this post: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=20951&start=30 For rode and chain, best place to purchase I found based on others advising me on it was seco south!

Good luck on finding it. I tried and never found anything close to it.

    Props for Z200's

I know a lot of discussions on props, but want some real world experience here on a couple of thoughts I have. Thinking that I might benefit by moving to 19 pitch from my current 17 pitch. How much, that is the question and hope to find someone with same hull design that has the 19's to see...

    Tackle Storage

Ok, cool. In case it does not fit, the luxury of using either PVC or Starboard is you can make it any way you want it so it can fit. Also, the PVC board is a viable alternative to the Starboard in some cases. This was easy to work with and did not cost much at all. It cuts, routes and sands...

    Anchor Swivel issues

I have been purchasing the Stainless Strips from Speedy Metals. I then sand them down progressively beginning with 80, 120, 150, 240, 320, 400, 600, 800, 1000, and finish off with 1200, then polish it with wool pad and metal cutting polish. It comes out like a mirror! Then I measure length...

    Anchor Swivel issues

As spring is getting closer, I messed with anchor issues again. I made a new bail, taller now so it will come all the way up. Anchor misses touching pulpit so I am good there. It is approx. 1/4" clearance and does not seem to want to come up and crash into the pulpit so hoping no chip outs on...

Deck drain hose & thru hull replacement

Found my old email where I ordered. You might check if this part number will fit your boat: > Here are the prices you asked for from Grady White: > > Part #: 11-369 $ 1.50 ea. QTY = 4 for Floor Drains. Also, I had the Grady Dealer Drop ship them to me so I didn't have to drive 200 miles...

Deck drain hose & thru hull replacement

Yes, sorry I missed answering your question. I am not sure who manufactured these fittings, so I was able to order these through the Grady Dealer and they were very cheap.

Silicone Sealer Question ( cleaning? )

Interesting. Didn't know GE made a grade higher for mildew, but says it applies as a paste. Not sure what that means. If hard to apply, the finished result will not look as good as the smooth silicone I have been using, but maybe they are all considered as paste...dunno. I have been using the...

Deck drain hose & thru hull replacement

I had contacted my dealer and explained what I was looking for. He talked to Grady and they explained that back then, no one made the proper type fitting, so they made one from a flush straight sink drain type that was threaded and cut the threads, then added a 90 degree fitting threaded on to...
