    Under-Helm Plywood & Bottom Coat

The barrier coat will not be a match to the hull. It's going to look bottom painted. Barrier is also a multi-coat process (to create the barrier). It really only needed for boats that stay in the water. It probably should be bottom painted too. Is your current bottom paint smooth? If the boat...

    Under-Helm Plywood & Bottom Coat

Your bottom paint will never really wear off completely. It will have to be removed somehow. You will have to speak to others about likelihood of achieving "factory".

    Yamaha F150 starting problem

Key switches look like they have inline connectors. If I can figure out a part number I would swap them both out. Anyone know what the potted black box attached to the back of the assembly does?

    Under-Helm Plywood & Bottom Coat

I replaced mine with Seafoam Starboard. Color match is good. I can't help you with barrier coat but I can recommend that the bottom be soda blasted clean. You may want to have someone do the bottom for you.

    Looking for Anchor Windlass suggestions

Defender won't do anything. It's three years old. They gave me a $40 credit on the $100 rode. That's ok. Today I tested my hybrid splice. Worked pretty good. A little trouble getting it to load but not bad. I'm going to keep testing over the next few weeks. The splice is 8-plait. The...

    Yamaha F150 starting problem

I noticed "no beep" when turned on a few times. A little panic jiggling and it started working. Seems like its right there at the key start switches. Are they reversible to test? I didn't play with anything else - just the key.

    Helm Chair

Shopping for a new helm chair. Current have OEM Pompanette. Chair ok but sliding base is junk. Maybe if I had a better base I could live with it. I saw Fishtails photo post of a Llebroc chair. That is a possibility. I spin my helm chair around when fishing so I have a high seat to sit on. Was...

    Sending Units

Google WEMA fuel sending unit. You need to know the length. Grady customer service can help but you you really need to pull it and confirm. Be careful to "clock" the sending unit correctly - holes are not symmetric. The connectors are 2-pin trailer connectors. Splice connector on before you...

    Screw length mounting bilge pump

Put a little 5200 on it and jamb it in! Not going to be a problem. It's better than having the pump or float switch flopping around down there. They are all sinking anyway! Only difference is how fast.

Upgrade Hydraulic Trim taps or swap to electric?

Not sure I would upgrade and install all the sensors, etc. just to get new controls. You got to really want it!

Replacing transom fish box door on 03 express

Yep. I would assume that would be the case. Maybe a pile of old molds in the yard. I was at Buddy Davis in Wancheese years ago and saw that. If you had the mold it would be economically feasible to make parts. Maybe find a perfect model to copy. But to make a proper mold with diamond non-skid...
