    Lee Jr outrigger pole guides

My outrigger poles were not rigged when I bought the boat, so I'm looking to put new rigging on them. I noticed it's missing a couple of the guides. Anyone have a source for a replacement or recommendation for new ones? Thanks

    265X fuel tank replacement

Did they put any coating on the new tanks, or just put in as bare aluminum?

    Garibaldi, OR tuna

Left the dock at 5:30, ran out to the 125.10 x 45.50 line, dropped our trolling gear and got our first one after about 20 minutes. Trolled SW, singles, doubles, and a couple of triples on the troll. Would pick up a couple on the jig, but could never get a full jig stop going. Most of the troll...

Buying a 2002 228 without trailer- Need trailer advise

I've been looking at changing the bunk material on my trailer, it has the carpet now, looking for something a little more "slick" so it goes on the trailer a bit easier.

    NJ fishing reports

Yeah, I don't think Ive ever seen worms in sea bass. See them in the larger ling cods and halibut though. Agree, sea bass is great. I prefer that and lings over halibut.

    265 first ocean run

I think he was referring to my total adjustment, since the motors were set up at 27.5 on the tie bar.

1" total adjustment. I went from .5" in to .5" out

    265 first ocean run

Was a pretty flat ocean yesterday, so hard to give 100% feedback on the change. But it seems to be quite a bit better, only noticed a slight slip when coming in a couple of times, where before it was almost a constant. Here is the after pic, this was heading out, doing approx 34mph.

    265 first ocean run

I adjusted the motors to "toe-out" 28.5 on the tiller bar, 27.5 on prop shafts. Taking it out tomorrow for some rock fish and Coho, so I'll see if it changes.

    vent window repair

Mine was missing the T handle on one side when I bought the boat. Just a piece of plastic in there now. Would like to add the handle again to be able to open it. Have you sourced one of those before?

    265 first ocean run

Yeah, I had mentioned earlier that I dont see any real convergence of the prop wash. Looks like they run parallel all the way out when on plane

    265 first ocean run

So I got around to measuring, at the tiller bar it's 27.5" and at the prop shaft it's 28.5". I think he set it up backwards being "toe-in".

    265 first ocean run

I actually had seen that thread. I'm thinking one of the previous owners must have replaced them at some point with the "off the shelf" short ones. I honestly think the only difference is the that pipe/stop. Looking at the ones you posted, the bodies look identical. Mine seem to be working OK...

    265 first ocean run

Its mounted one hole down from the top hole, unfortunately cant go to the top hole or it hits the bang cap. Unless I put some sort of spacer between the motors and transom, or a jack plate.

    265 first ocean run

Not really sharp turns, probably a 45 or less off the top of my head. But I even noticed it when running straight and the boat was rocking over chop/swells. My first boat with twins, so I know there is a bit of an adjustment for that as well, since the motors dont sit dead center like a single...

    265 first ocean run

Yeah, same props. I'll have to measure it and see.

    265 first ocean run

Motors are mounted as low as they can go, wasn't using any trim tabs, and motors weren't up very much. But yes, I'm pretty sure thats what I was hearing.

    265 first ocean run

Got it out for it's 2nd ocean trip on Saturday. Completely different boat now with the tabs fixed. Coming in on a following sea, and it drove straight! Wasn't fighting it with the listing and the random left and right it was doing. Even my buddies were saying it was so much better. The one...

NJ Offshore Wind Farms Pros/Cons/Conspiracy theories

There has been discussion on adding offshore wind farms in Oregon as well. I'm sure we'll deal with the same stuff as you. With as liberal/green as most of Oregon is, it surprises me that would even be considered. But I'm sure someone's pockets are getting lined to allow it.

NJ Offshore Wind Farms Pros/Cons/Conspiracy theories

Completely agree on the electric car problems. The banning of new gas-powered car sales in 2035 in CA, OR, and WA is mind boggling. There is no way the infrastructure will be there to support that. Plus don't even get me started with the impact on the environment the mining has to produce all...
