Are the 330 (or other express) overhead cabin rod holders practical/useful?

Every 330 I've seen has them. I can't imagine why anyone would remove them. Grady put them there for a reason... I like them very much and have even added more rod racks. I added one in between the two existing one plus one on the port and starboard sides (holds 4 each) in place of the teak...

    330 Express: Added a 2nd Livewell

During this shelter at home thing going on, I finally decided to do something I've been meaning to do for a long time. I commercial fish my 330 and have a need to keep my catch alive as I get more $ per pound if it's alive (Cod). The current 45G livewell is good but I fill that up and wanted...

    2007 Marlin Bowthruster Shear Pin

You are correct about it being really hard to get those allen bolts out. If you or someone else has a link to that low profile ratcheting wrench - please do post here. I wish to buy one and place in my on-board tool bag along with my spare shear pin. As anyone who has done this - getting...

    330 Fresh Water problem?

It's a 17 year old boat (and pump possibly). Pumps aren't that expensive. You're on the right track...

    Generator ?

Like anything, you read about when things go wrong and not so much when things work well. My FP generator runs like a top but I USE the thing alot. I would be very reluctant to using a gas generator due to the oder-less exhaust gases which sink to the lowest point on a point (in the cabin)...

Are these F250's Running Too Hot?

as Doc stated: "As long as the warning buzzer doesn't turn on and you don't throw an overheat code you will be fine."

Grady getting slapped around on THT

Yes, I may have over reacted ("Someone should be fired") however I wasn't basing this on JUST the bow eye (very understandable). My main issues were: 1. The uneven strakes in the photo. Could this be an optical illusion? or is the mold truly faulty and uneven? 2. The photo of the interior...

Grady getting slapped around on THT

"THT def. has some GW bashers but the general consensus is that they are good boats but not worth the premium price." The above is well said... I sent a rather pointed e-mail to Greenville via their "contact us" process off their website. I'll wait and see what their response is. I suggested...

    Kicker motors

Sorry but I don't remember. All I recall is it was a semi-custom shop in Oregon that made and painted them. This outfit then sold them through Central Valley Marine in Campbell, CA. (our local GW Dealer). If you called them, they may still be sourcing these brackets. Good luck.

    Replace hoses on 06’ Marlin

I just did what you're pondering - I have a 2006 330 Express. I'll bet the hoses you're talking about for a 300 are the same as on a 330. Mine are all 3/4" I.D. but look closely at your hoses for such a label. My hoses connected to my thru hull fittings were looking a little "untrustworthy"...

Transom Mount Transducer Placement 2007 330 Grady White Express

I did this on my 2006 330 Express. I mounted mine close to the keel. Getting the height right is important (bottom of transducer relative to the bottom of the keel). The Manufacturer can advise you best on this. I can text you photos if you PM me your #. As to why a transom mount? I...

Keep 228 or move up to 282??

Good logic and summary. I think you made exactly the right decision. Keep you money in your pocket and enjoy the boat by using the heck out of it. Then one Winter, and only when you feel it necessary, re-power it with the best Yamaha has to offer. The boat will then outlast you and you'll be...

Keep 228 or move up to 282??

I'll chime in on this one for what it's worth. I owned a 228, then moved to a 265 Express, then moved up again to a 330 Express. If you intend to trailer your boat - I recommend you stay with your 228. Especially since you launch and retrieve your boat at the ramp by yourself most of the time...

Replacing the Halogen Indirect Rope light in 330 Express

Thanks to Longbay Boy's help, I just the same the same conversion to LED's in my Vee Berth. Purchased a 6' + 10' section as stated above. Only difference for me was: 1. I went with BLUE as this matched the color scheme I use for my under gunnel lights in the cockpit, and 2. Instead of using...

Delaminated Bulkhead and Painted Trim Completed

"I've decided to go with plywood on the bulkheads." Good decision. Boat restoration can be a lot of fun and need not be expensive. Coating the cut ends of the plywood with paint, varnish or epoxy will prevent water wicking. Plywood is what GW used when they built that boat so why change...

Fly Rod Storage - 330 Express

You can remove the teak magazine rack rails on the starboard side of the vee berth. Then install a 3X set of rod holders there. That side of the vee berth gives you nearly 10 feet of rod storage space in a safe and dry location. A lot of us with 330's have done this and it works really well.
