    Need Info on 265 Express

I upgraded from a very nice 2005 228G which I bought new to a sweet 2003 265 with twin F225's (freshwater boat). Best decision I ever made. Type "265" in search and read, read and read. All the details are there. If you don't like to fish, it's a not a good choice but if you're passionate...

Custom Table for the Helm in a 330 Express

Welcome to the board Rusty. Nice to see another Pillar Point Captain here. Think about it - if you had a table made up, exactly where would you store your helm chair when the table is being used? These are small boats, even yours, so I would look into a simple, but high quality, folding table...

Kicker motor Yamaha T8 for 228G

Yes - I did. I sold my 228G (in favor for my 265 Express) but when I had the 228, I had the CVM kicker bracket installed by them (Starboard side which countered, balanced, the prop rotation nicely) with a long shaft power tilt T8. Worked great. IMHO, the long shaft T8 is definitely the right...

Anyone install an Intermittent Windshield Wiper switch?

Yes - you're right - the PN on Carparts.com doesn't work anymore. Not sure. I bought mine from them no problem. But the same switch is on JC Whitney.com - Simply enter this SKU # 1JA 122370 It has a manufacture's number of SF-1806257. Either of these will work. I have a 265...

Anyone install an Intermittent Windshield Wiper switch?

I just completed my installation of this delay switch today. Was easy to wire up. I mounted it centered exactly between the compass and the helm. Looks great and is very functional on those days when you have that wind driven spray hitting the windshield every 30 seconds or so.

    For 265 Owners

Great idea. I often wondered if anyone did what you describe. Please post pictures when finished. I question the effectiveness of such a seal over the long term. Seems like all of these hatches leak at some point which I why I haven't done this. I will tell you this - on the 265, those lift...

    Shipping a Grady

In addition to the above suggestions (all good), I'd convert the brakes from drum to disk. You're going to do that anyway right? So why not now before such a long trip? Drum brakes are famous for self destructing on boat trailers and do not stop as well as disks (that's why cars converted to...

    Shipping a Grady

I used Uship.com a year ago. Had my 265 Express towed from Southern Florida to Northern California. My 9,000 lb. boat sat on a 3 axles 12,000 GVWR trailer with 2 axle disc brakes. I got lucky and had a terrific driver named Jeff Farmer who moves only boats. Took 8 days but it all worked...
