NJ fishing reports

Sunday wind was ugly but great bass bite on live bunker at Bay Head. This one ate the snagged bunker before we could get it in to put on circle hook.

Skunk, seems like you're pulling out early. Still several weeks of fishing available. Everything OK?

Caught & released enough 35-50lb bass. Chased the 8 mile tuna enough. They just laugh at me.
Also, there is a spiny dogfish every square ft of bottom from the beach out to 30 miles. Ask me how I know....

Beat the cold. Wrap it up. Did oil, gear oil, spark plugs today.
Actually, I have soda blaster coming Tuesday. Very old first layer of bottom paint is popping. I was barnacled up. Thats going to delay launch in spring. I will need warm weather for epoxy barrier coat and paint.
Will's Hole Marina was sold. Now called "Point Beach Yacht Club" ...sounds expensive. Prices went up. I have to give up my cheap giant slip and squeeze into another next season to only go up $150. Looked at moving down to Waretown to save money but I really love this spot in Point beach. Quick out to ocean and all my spots are up here, not out of Barnegat Inlet. I really hate BI. And just the night dock fishing is worth it to stay.

I'm going to try the stripers a couple more times, hopefully shortly after Thanksgiving, if this nasty weather leaves. Maybe tuna if I hear they are still around. Seems like they are getting easier to find but harder to catch. Good luck with the bottom repairs and the new slip at the Yacht Club!

Skunk, who bought your marina? Safe Harbor was gobbling up everything they could get their hands on, and then they got swallowed by a bigger shark, Sun(SUI), the biggest player in mobile home parks.

idk if its a big conglomerate. Seems like a young mom & pop from the interactions I have had with them.

Wondering if anyone heard more on the sinking in Ambrose channel over the weekend? Report as a ''30 foot GW speed boat''??

If you look closely at the double strake/ chine/ stripe progression in this pic it does seem to match with what a GW in that size range would have

Yea, I was looking at that picture and thought the hull was way too rounded.

Here you go guys 30ft Grady just bought it 1st time out on the water. Heart breaking

I recently bought a 2017 330 Express. I fish out of Manasquan Inlet. I'm interested to see if there is a space on this site where we can post recent fishing trips in our area to help one another in tracking where the fish are biting. Someplace where we can "trust" the information. I never had a problem sharing good and bad catch reports with friends. I've found that "most" Grady owners are serious fishermen and the shared information can be good for all involved.
That sounds like a great idea! A dedicated space for sharing local fishing reports could be really beneficial for tracking where the fish are biting. If the site doesn’t already have a section for this, maybe a thread or group specifically for Manasquan Inlet anglers could work. Have you checked if there’s a regional fishing reports section? If not, starting one could be a great way to connect with fellow serious fishermen and build a reliable network of shared insights.
