I'm curious if anyone has opened the port and starboard floors of a 272 Sailfish. It seems like dead space that could be utilized for storage or a fish box.

My 2000 272 has a split bail made of flat stock, which allows me to bring the anchor into the locker if tied up bow to and having crew walk on the pulpit to the pier ladder

I used a piece of paracord 2 years ago when I noticed my straps were rusted on my 2000 272 Sailfish. I can reach them through the access hole and thru the rear seat and they are holding up well

Next time you go fishing, have a couple guys sit up front for a bit. I can feel my bow ride low with 2 guys up front on my 272 w/ 200 yammys when we are doing the run and gun

I bought the 2881, the comparison chart shows them all fairly equal. The only advantage I can see with the 2882 and 2884 is the LCD readout but, I don't see myself being able to read that if the situation were that drastic as I was in the water away from the boat.

If it's not too late, have them install frownie faces and not smilies. When you are underway, you can just just unzip a frown and let it flop down versus having to slow down so you can roll up and secure a smile.

I have a 2000 Saifish 272 and the marine head uses saltwater. The seacock is accessed thru the hole in the cabin floor at the bottom of the stairs. On the 2000, the starboard seacock is water in, the port seacock is for discharge outside the 3 mile line.

Why don't you remove the wires from the breaker in the 120V panel and connect your inverter there.
