    Craziest place you ever fished

Thanks for the kinds words. We actually have a video of us after the trip checking off the box on the boat, and both wore the shirt on a recent striped bass fishing trip (he loves telling the story, and I love how he gets excited like it was yesterday. although I am pretty sure most jist think...

    Craziest place you ever fished

Best place- PEI (prince Edward island). What a trip, approximate 900lb Tuna caught and safely released!!!!! Yes 900lb!!!!! For the last 5 years or so, instead of buying my dad socks for his birthday, Christmas or fathers day, I decided to give him credits/tokens towards a bucket list fishing...

Best place to find Replacement Stickers and Stripes on Boat Hull

I have used garzonstudio for my lettering and stripes on the side of the cabin. I was able to send old piece of sticker and have them match (was very very close match).

    Impeller replacement / waterpump service

I appreciate all the responses. I may wait until next season, I have no issues with it and have never touched a sand bar with it (mostly deeper water). I will check water pressure come April. When the times comes I will be ready to go with the great instructiuons above, and I have most of the...

    Impeller replacement / waterpump service

I am planning on replacing the impeller for the first time since I bought this grady (the lower unit was brand new when I bought the boat a year and a half ago). The engine is an s150txru. My question is this- do you always replace the bottom plate or only if needed? I am concerned about getting...

    My latest update

I am doing the impeller for first time since I bought the boat (year and a half ago, lower unit was brand new when I bought the boat), also first time on a yammi. Can anyone give instructions? My manual is less then clear. Do you change all the orings or just the impeller and gasket? Base plate...

    Adventure - replacment forward cupholders

They screw into the plastic panel (need to get down to boat and take better loo). Think a good idea to just move them up. Cupholder also a good idea - but afraid of cracking the entire plastc panel (i am sure they are tough to find). thanks all- will post when I know more and complete.

    Adventure - replacment forward cupholders

Anyone ever replace these cupholders on the 1996 and older adventures? Sorry for the bad pictire- the amount of drink that have spilled from these (very low rim to hold cans) is getting unbearable. Will try to get better picture next in the boat.

    Fixing my chipped hatches

O would say the same thing if I were you but was def mixed correctly and fairly large batch makes that much easier to get right. I think it was rolled on too thin (if thats possible, if I remember I believe it was also cool out and was into the evening). I tried the preval, mixing with acetone...

    Fixing my chipped hatches

I tried the preval sprayer on my dash with no luck and ended up rolling on (for the anti skid texture on the floor and hatches I got samples of the skid texture from a company and used them, only had a inch or so to repair but for you sample would be too small). I really need another coat, and...

    New upholstery on cabin cushions

Just need to attach in the cabin bolsters (closed all the old holes with epoxy and will drill new holes), but here is the final mock up. Bolster fabric has some wrinkles from the bend (knew this would happen and not be perfect, but good enough for me. Happy with the results, next need to clean...

    New upholstery on cabin cushions

Thanks guys. I got rid of the foam in the picture with the damage and patched in a piece of foam the sale size. After looking at the bolsters, it does seem the screws were in the middle of the bolster (between the two cushions), the screw must have went through the fabric and was tough to...

    New upholstery on cabin cushions

Just about done, just need to work on the bolster/shelf area. Middle cushion isn't finished yet, still need to finish the bottom which should raise it up a little - may redo it as it fits a little loose (old one snugged into the other cushions and held itself there, I must have did the cushion...

    New upholstery on cabin cushions

Update on cushion project. A couple hours of preparing the fabric and behind the sewing machine (super easy) and one cushion done - still need to sew shut the spot where cushions went in (I chose not to use zippers because of expense and not necessary). As you can see I have cut the foam to...

    New upholstery on cabin cushions

For my use, the cost/600 is too much for me to bear. Decided to buy a cheap sewing machine (hoping wife pitties me and does the job for me) and materials (about 35 bucks for 5 yards of 600 Denier waterproof marine fabric, 25 bucks for silk film plastic and 6 bucks for a ton of UV thread) and...

    Yamaha Gauges Refurbished

This is not that difficult to do yourself for those who are handy. I did two of mine and the cost was I think less then 20 bucks in materials. There may be a post on here about it, or Google it.
