    New upholstery on cabin cushions

Last year a squirrel decided to make a nest in the cabin cushion and destroyed a piece of it. Given the use of the cabin cushions (never sit or sleep down there) and the expense, I am going to try and repair cheap by myself (I think this is going to be a painful project) Was going to use this...

    208 and engine size

My 150hp yamaha 2 stroke (1996) can get me up to 39 mph. It is enough engone fore me and most people on my boat think its hauls ass - good enough for me (a 150hp 4 stroke may be another question). Most people would say need bigger, but if a few mph makes dont make a difference then your all set.

    Eisenglass storage

Make sure they are white towels (have seen pics of color from towels bleeding onto the eisenglass before) - that would suck.

    Remote engine flush

I do the same thing and works great. Haven't had an issue with water flow using the quick disconnect (I have forgot to connect hose back to engone before and ran boat for hours with no issues). I always run on muffs in the driveway (heard will burn out impeller without it and possibly worse).

    Eisenglass storage

I store mine on a wood rack system I made, with snaps screwed into each wood beam for each canvas. The beams come down and slide into the bracket on the ceiling. I trailer my boat and need to tale canvas down every time to keep leaves/sap off the boat. Can hang them wet like thos and they just...

    Oil pump

Not sure if this helps, but on my s150 it takes a minute or two max. Like you said, I would start with the filter and go from there (when i swapped mine (was not filling and was getting low oil alarm) I also cleaned the tank and put all old oil through a paint strainer just in case, worked for...

Use Fresh Water System To Flush Outboard

I am no expert, and there is a lot of debate, but in an emergency I have heard you can also run at low rpms using the washdown if your impeller gives out on you.

Anchor Away ( Yes I mean AWAY)

That anchorsaver seems like the answer Halfhitch. I can say, the guys who saw you cut your line from the other boat I ask sure where hurting for you , we have all been there (luckily i use danforths which are much cheaper and easier to get out and we dont have anchor divers like you up in NY)...

    Boat covers - 20' Overnighter

Check out my post here, I have a 1996 208: https://www.greatgrady.com/threads/boat-cover-recommendations.28009/ Has a good warranty and so far one year and no issues (one time didnt have good supports and ended up filling with a ton of water hanging like a hammock and didnt rip, I was thoroughly...

Contraption to keep feet dry when launching, easy winch hook remover.

I could take the safety chain off but wouldn't do it until back of boat is near water that way if winch strap breaks (has happened before) boat would roll into water rather then pavement. I can easily unhook both with the magnet once the boat is floating.

Re Chrome Gunnel Fishing Rod Holders

What did that cost to have done, they look mint.

Contraption to keep feet dry when launching, easy winch hook remover.

For me it's more about time, every extra minute spent at the dock (on both ends) is time I can be fishing (or back sooner and working making money), but I obviously like the convenience.

Adventure/overnight anchor light doesnt stay tight

Correct my boat doesnt have a stern light, just the 360 mast light which is also ok per the COLREGS. I went fishing this morning and the light (with the light shield) stayed put now that I can screw down the black piece tight, all set to go (the wobble is very small and I am. Ot concerned)...

Adventure/overnight anchor light doesnt stay tight

I have two, one that came with boat (not sure if original) that is long but has no light shield on the bottom. This one is missing the screw on piece (which means the screw I took off the base yesterday belongs to this light - now if I can just find that black screw...) The other light is...
