Installing freshwater tank in a 1996 Adventure 208

I ordered mine off ebay, but ended up getting the wrong one in the mail, they gave it to me for free and refunded my money. My faucet was originally longer and would not give me the angle I needed, after cutting it down I got what was in the picture I posted. Will see if it holds up to the...

Pic of Grady White without striping or logos

I removed my decals off my 1996Grady adventure, and eraser wheel was quicker and safer then the heat gun but takes a little more muscle. My boat is old and you can see the shadows of the logos, I have the replacement logos and will do in the spring when it warms up.

Installing freshwater tank in a 1996 Adventure 208

Does anyone know what sealant to use when installing the 90 degree fittings? They screw into the tank and was not sure what sealant to use. UPDATE - grady recommended 5200 so that is what I will use. I have most of my materials gathered (still need 1 1/2" fill hose, the 5/8th vent hose, an...

Installing freshwater tank in a 1996 Adventure 208

I plan to have the vent come up through the bilge area to the port back corner, I have snaked wires through there for my gunwale lighting, would ultimately shoot excess water out from under the gunwale onto the deck (where bottom fishing poles goes) and out the scupper (never hitting the bilge...

Installing freshwater tank in a 1996 Adventure 208

Found this on paragon's website which may work if I can find faucet to fit (was hoping to have faucet swing out from under gunwale, but difficult to find faucet with the ability to pivot that way).

Installing freshwater tank in a 1996 Adventure 208

I plan to use a water fill like one in the picture, need to check clearance but hope to mount fill on the wall of the bilge, under one of the back seats (see picture with red X), will run vent tube up with the water outlet hose from pump, so if overfill water spills on deck near the faucet/hose...

Installing freshwater tank in a 1996 Adventure 208

Do you happen to have pictures of the water tank hoses (from where the tank was). I am assuming I will not have access holes for the hoses and will need to determine where to drill.

Installing freshwater tank in a 1996 Adventure 208

Appreciate the response - thank you. my idea was that I didnt want to leave my floor access panel open longer then needed and difficult to get measurements of the opening until I open it back up. Factory tank (10 gallon) shipped was $150, and looks like a todds 9 gallon is about $120. Dealership...

    Off season rod storage

Was wondering if better for poles to be stored vertical, rather then horizontal where there will generally be a slight bend in the rod, not sure of it cam effect the spine of the rod long term. I use horizontal with no issue yet, but for that reason on my horizontal rack I leave the reels on...

    Battery jump start pack

I use a JNC660, have had it for about 4 years now and still going strong (not as strong as day 1), never used on a 300 but used on a 200 hp for a stranded boater with no issues. The Model the OP mentioned, noco gb70 , doesn't specify cold cranking amps - its looks like the better option but all...

Grady 208 drain path for bulkheads behind fish boxes

The box on top of the dash with a door like a glove box (I know under my gauges drains through a hose under the steering wheel), but think I have a gap somewhere or previous owner ran wires and left a gap for water to get in. To be worked on more this winter. Only happens when it pours.

Original Tank?.... and what’s with the bilge draining?

I am about to open up my floorboard on my 1996 208 in the next few weeks and can post pics. I am planning on installing a freshwater tank - can you confirm that is your freshwater tank aft of the gas tank? Any way you can post a few pics of the water tank and connections. Many thanks.
