    2001 Tournament 223 - Water System ?'s

First, you can download a manual for the boat at www.gradywhite.com You can also register as the new owner. You have two separate systems. The faucet behind the drivers seat is freshwater. If it's spitting out antifreeze it's because it was winterized. Look for a silver cap that says water...

    Sea Star Steering Troubleshooting

I had a similar issue after I replaced the caps on my ram. Air was getting in and displacing the fluid which was coming out from the helm cap and ending up on the deck. Turned out the O-rings on the bleeders needed to be replaced. Once they were replaced, and the system bled again, it was...

Ignition re wiring and motor just clicks

I'll try to intrepret. First - re: the key switch.....take the Sierra switch back and buy the Yamaha assembly. Don't buy the off brand junk on eBay or Amazon. The Yamaha assembly is plug and play, and includes the overheat/low oil warning horn. If it clicks and won't start, the first thing...

    New Trailer for sale

That 2460 trailer is perfect for a 222, 223, 225 or 228. Not nearly enough trailer for a 232 or bigger.

    Correct.

    Rain water?

I get water too when it rains. Good news is it drains quickly both in my driveway and on the way to the ramp. Every GW I’ve ever owned has had the same issue. It’s coming in through the anchor locker.

    It's official - 228 is no more :-(

They can always bring them back. The 192 went away for a number of years then suddenly returned.

    1986 Tournament 19 are rare?

Not rare. I owned an 86 190. Biggest change was the move from the 20” transom to 25 in 88. The boat became the 192 when it got the SeaV2 hull in 94.

Trailer guideposts, how close and how far back?

Mine have about an index finger width off the rubrail at the stern. Most GWs are slightly wider amidships and you will need to get by the wider spot. They are tight, but not so tight that they won't give. If I come in hot and bump one of them, I'd rather it bend forward (it still does the...

    Questions/concerns about possibly purchasing a 228 Seafarer...

With all due respect, someone else will come along, not ask the questions you did, and Ingman (or the current owner) will sell it. For what it's worth, I look at the boat from the pics and I see holes in the transom from a kicker bracket that appear to be exposed. I see mismatched seats. I...

    Compass

Can you get to the panel behind the dash? If so, it's probably held in place with either a plastic ring that screws onto the back of the compass, or a bracket with a couple of nuts and washers. Remove the bracket and disconnect the wiring and it should pop right out.

    Compass

If it’s a 2018 boat, it may still be under warranty. Have you asked a dealer? If it’s not, you will likely need to remove it, install it properly, then have it “compensated”.
