Brakes should follow the laws of the state. In many states here in the East, trailers over 3K GVW are required to have brakes on both axles. Not sure why you need an electric winch. The 2 speed winch is a hand crank, but with a lower gear to make it easier to crank up.

The 180 can go comfortably on an 18-19 single axle. As Smoky said, at the very least you will want all SS hardware, torsion axle and LED lights. I’d consider front center bunks and radials as well. Where are you located?

My experience with 1/4" Starboard is it would ripple worse in the Southeastern US Summer Heat. Moved up to 1/2" and - yes - it's thick, but it won't ripple. I still stand by 3/8" as the way to go.

1/4" is a little thin if it has to support the weight of the electronics as well. I had better luck with 1/2" starboard. Some of the acrylics are available in 3/8 which is the way to go.

Welcome to the forum. How old a GW? The SeaV2 223s were available with 4 strokes after about '02. No issue there. I have a 225 OX66 on mine. I've stood on the bracket and no issues and that would be 475 from the motor plus 250 or so for me. So the 550 or so for a 4 stroke should be OK.
