    Water Smells In Freshwater Tank:

I'm thinking the bleach advice and I'm intrigued by the West Marine Water Tank Flush Cleaner that Ponquogue mentioned.

    Water Smells In Freshwater Tank:

Hey All: Thanks, as always for the helpful replies. I don't think I can even get to the boat now. it's 330 miles away in Northern Michigan, buried who-knows-how-many-boats deep in climate controlled storage. I'm almost certain I can't get a hose to it. I use the fresh water fairly frequently...

    Water Smells In Freshwater Tank:

As the title describes. The 30 gallon freshwater tank on our Marlin started to smell lousy in September when I put her up for it's Long Winter's Nap. I can only imagine what it will smell like in June 2022 when we get her out of climate controlled storage. So, what do y'all recommend to solve...

    Radar help/input needed

Agree with Fish & Skunk. My selling dealer talked me out of an open array for similar reasons. We don't fish and just cruise around staying overnights at marinas. My 24" Garmin Dome on our Marlin 300 serves us well. No need for anything more elaborate.

    300 Marlin Helm AC

A friend suggested I A/C the Head on my Marlin. Grady-White replied, saying that venting off the cabin unit to run a opening to the Head would draw down the entire system, taxing it and making it less efficient. I would surmise that the same thing would happen if you tried to A/C the helm area...

    300 Marlin Rode

30' of chain 300' of rode, although I'm not sure that's Factory specs. Same Delta Fastset as well. Like yours, mine has worked in everything but heavy weeds.

Who do you have your boat insured through?

Boat US/Geico; Plenty happy with them. No plans on shopping or switching.

    2017 Marlin?

Unfortunately, this is next to impossible without us being aboard the boat. It is beyond the scope of the printed word because of the nuances; inertia, current, prop thrust...it goes on. I tried once to explain it to "Russ." (he hasn't been here in awhile...) It was just too long and cumbersome...

    2017 Marlin?

Luck: Nothing wrong with technology if you don't totally depend on it. To me, that's where it gets scary. Many times I have needed that thruster and leaned on it like mad when I was being blown around. However, when I don't need it, I let it alone. I just would hate to see you get in the habit...

    2017 Marlin?

A thought or two on joysticks. I have been in a boat equipped with them. During a docking procedure in 15kt winds, the joystick couldn't keep up with the wind blowing it around. I saw it first hand. I have a great friend with a 300 Marlin built the same time as mine. He usually chooses to dock...

    2017 Marlin?

You know what; I'd love to. We almost went to Vegas with the band to do a hi-end corporate gig, but it fizzled. If that ever happens again, I'll try to tag a few extra days onto the trip and see you on the coast. It would be a great hang, and I'd enjoy the experience. As long as you bait the...

    2017 Marlin?

Lucky: I don't think that's a 2018. Mine is an '18 with 2018 350's. My Marlin does not have gauges. I have the digital stuff. The cowlings have different graphics on them than mine. There are "Marlin" logos on the sides going forward. Mine does not have them. The cabin doors are different...

    2017 Marlin?

"Stang: Interesting and encouraging. My Marlin is a 2018 w/350's. Interesting because the owner is selling it so soon..Change Of Life, probably. Encouraging because if I want to sell mine, I have a chance of getting close to what I paid for it. It's a weird World....

    New grady model?

NoNo, your missing it..THIS is your next Ride. Quad 425's, bigger hull; 35+cruise- you can spit on 3 footers in that thing. You go halfway to Spain to catch fish; this is your Baby. AND, you could fit a cooler on deck in that cockpit and still get around! Hmmm...there is the fuel burn- Your...

    First Seafarer Question

BlindMullet is spot on. I lived in Ft Myers for 9 years and experienced the same short, Gulf Chop that he is describing. Grady's may well be better than other models given the same conditions, but it's still bad if you try to run on plane above 25 mph.
