    Anchorline Story:

Doc: This is great! I will use these steps when (hopefully) I get to write another. One of my hang ups is I think I write something essential to the storyline, and then I'm over limit, but I don't want to remove that particular section. So...what other section do I remove to compensate? I go...

    Anchorline Story:

Hey Sdfish; Thanks-it's fun to do 'em. The challenge (for me, anyway,) is to say a lot with few words. I have formatting constraints that I have to adhere to, so I write the piece, go over it several times, thinking, "Ok, what can I leave out to shorten it?" This article wasn't as much of a...

    Anchorline Story:

Over the past 8 or 9 years, it has been my pleasure to be an occasional contributing writer for Anchorline and Docklines, the publications Grady-White sends out to their customers several times a year. Some of the stories I've penned cover events we've done with the Tarpon Coast Grady Club in SW...

Trailering GW 300 Marlin, 305 Express of 330 Express

My 232 was 10,100 lbs loaded with full fuel, twin 200's and livewell full of ice. This included trailer. I think every state requires permits over 8' 6".

Trailering GW 300 Marlin, 305 Express of 330 Express

Jumping back in for a minute.. 6.7 Cummins 10-11 MPG at 50-55 MPH. Plenty of power for hills and the mountainous terrain in East TN and N GA. Now I'll get out of No Bail's way.

14,600 loaded-3/4 fuel w/trailer, as I mentioned in my reply earlier.

Trailering GW 300 Marlin, 305 Express of 330 Express

I think you're on the right track; You have all the important factors covered. This just occurred to me as I type this; if your weather canvas (isenglass) is easily removable, I would recommend removing it and storing it in the cabin prior to towing. The beating it would take from wind and the...

Trailering GW 300 Marlin, 305 Express of 330 Express

I towed my 2018 Marlin to Michigan from Fla and back. Stats below: Tow vehicle: 2007 Dodge Cummins dually. Boat/Aluminum tri-axle & 3/4 fuel= 14,600 lbs. Height w/ Garmin Radar Dome removed; 13' 2". Beam 10' 7". LOA from bumper of truck to props; 48 feet. Hassles? 1.) Acquiring the...

    Freedom 235

Only a slight derailment here; I don't fish, but I have for years wanted, (and tried unsuccessfully by paying for charters) to catch a shark. if I hooked a 12 ft Hammerhead, it would be a highlight that I would always remember. OK, back to the regularly scheduled program....

    Gulfstream 232 for overnights

tblanchard: Be aware that with a single, docking in a wind and/or current will be challenging. With the 9' 3" beam and just the one engine doing the work, horsing that thing into a slip or around a dock will take some maneuvering. It can certainly be done, however. Enjoy!

    Gulfstream 232 for overnights

Sure it will. I owned one for 10 years and stayed aboard for sometimes weeks at a time. You can stretch out on the starboard side berth unless your as tall as Magic Johnson. I'm 5' 11" and I was comfortable. Directly above the stbd berth, a bunk folds out and straps are provided to secure it in...

    Life...

I can only duplicate what others have said so well here. I certainly have enjoyed our online connection and your photos. With the Seafarer being discontinued and the whacked-out boat market, you should do well with your sale.

    Freedom 235

This should be required reading on the RIP Walkaround Thread. THIS is why Freedoms (aka DC's) are selling like mad. We can talk up walkarounds all day and night, but at the end of the day, we all know who's opinion really counts.

    The Walk Around Cuddy R.I.P.

billyttpd may have a point here. So many things in Life are cyclical. As I mentioned earlier, you can't run a successful business driven by emotion. We can all say how much we love walkarounds and that it's a mistake to deprive the buying public of that Market, but we're not paying the bills...

    The Walk Around Cuddy R.I.P.

They know exactly what they're doing. They haven't been in business this long by making wrong choices. They are catering to the Market: to the demands of the Buyer. They are running a Corporation. The Front Office has to go with buying trends, and now it's dayboats and partying at the sandbar...
