    COVID-19 228G Trailer & Adventure

Thanks Joez, they were pretty easy to take off. Was going to replace them with something, but not in a rush, and don't feel like going back to my '87 trim. Compounding and buffing out the hull was labor intensive to say the least. You make an investment in the way your Grady looks says...

It's a 2016, There is an emissions recall update that I have not done yet, will likely deteriorate performance, so I am waiting to see what shakes down then decide. No mods, but if I do the recall, I would be open to a mod. Thanks family affair!!

Yeah sometimes you hope you don't loose part of boat, trailer, or underwear peeing in the Sierras. I did find the new trailer blocked any passing spectators from checking out my pee stream o_O 18.5 might get you into Guinness Book!

Hey Parthery, I only used to get 13.3 mpg with my old GMC Sierra 1500 V-8-no towing at all. This Ram Ecodiesel is a 6 cyl with enough torque and I paid for the 3.92 gear ratio vs. stock 3.55 upgrade which helps juicing towing the boat~I believe. Very happy too with results, which were...

Fish, Only guys I know that use hand cranks are either single men or guys with cobwebs in their wallet. I think K2Freak was shooting ya straight. Hope I am not being too offensive. I doubt you would WANT to use them if you set them up. Hand cranking a 10lb weight is not a breeze, and If you...

Hi Magicalbill, Now I see what what you n Keeldad are referring to. The two white bars means "normal temp" on my truck, if there were four white bars that would be bad.

Another COVID-19 Boat/Trailer Pick up thread

Parthery, Love stories like yours, thanks for sharing! I almost went with Owens & Sons last fall, but that drive would have killed me and wanted to make sure the boat fit the trailer as you did. Awesome to have a new trailer!! Lee PS-And I learned from your post to put all text and pics in...

Thanks Keeldad, Temps were fine. Not sure which icon you were referring to. Maybe the yellow light in the left center which means low fuel. Truck ran great up n down the mountain passes :)

Thanks Hitch, You reminded me of that song "A Man Needs A Maid". I had never been on that route before, who knew the desert area just southeast of Death Valley had no real towns, just highway

Easy peasy, most are trolling for salmon, and other fish where bait presentation needs to be slower than 2 mph. East coast boats are trolling for fish that need a higher presentation speed, or working off an anchor or drifting. West coast fisherman also drift and anchor depending on what the...

Finally safely back home, really happy with this new trailer. The new to me torsion axles were outstanding, and at times I forgot I was pulling a trailer. I did not opt for EOH brakes. I can update those when and if I choose for 1K, plug and play. The stainless surge brakes on the new trailer...

    COVID-19 228G Trailer & Adventure

Woke up early today to get Pacific Trailer to swap out trailers at 7:30AM. It was interesting, all the employees had their temperatures taken outside the entrance as a Covid precaution. If they were normal, they were allowed to enter the building. Luis Campalans was my point guard there. He...

    COVID-19 228G Trailer & Adventure

Babied my old trailer going max 50 mph on I-395 which goes through the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Why do I always wait till the last minute to refuel? I reached the San Bernardino area close to LA, and was running low on fuel. There was only one stop left before I was gonna run out of gas...
