    Engine and Grady Bracket removal

Pulled my bracket and engine off 5 years ago and had the Springfield engine bracket on my 228G powder coated. Wasn't too hard, was able to handle the job by myself. When you get to it, make sure you wet down a wood dowel with epoxy and apply to the holes in the transom where the bolts go...

    Another Transom Question

Shannon, I have spider webs like that in many places on gelcoat, but my hull is '87. That is cosmetic in my opinion, but I cannot see where they lie on you transom because of the close up pic. Usually people grind down the hairline cracks using a dremel or similar and then refinish like so~

228 - making it water tight?

And don't know if you committed to a kicker yet, but it's sure nice to use the same brand as the main engine IMHO.

228 - making it water tight?

The alternator on the kicker will also charge the system if that ever happens. Same reason I opted for a pull start kicker that also has electric start and trim...worst case scenario.

    Nav lights- troubleshooting.

Seasick, not to steal StoryTime's thread, but my mast light has never worked since I owned my 228. There are 3 prongs in the socket it goes into. Is there any way to test the light or the wiring at the socket the mast light goes in to? I'm not very good at figuring out wiring :(

    New Seat Cushions

Thanking my friend Jose who generously offered to make me a new set of cushions for my Seafarer. He used 3" foam for the jump seats and fish boxes to give more cushy for the tushy  Been awaiting this for a while now, they turned out awesome! Edit: Seeing if I can get a 36" ruler made for...

    Windy ap

I really like windy, those Czech's are brilliant. Intellicast was also good too before it was taken over, now its garbage. I also use the NOAA forecasts for my area. You guys on the coasts can't be too careful.
