    Electornics Box Power source

Most likely either jumps off the fuse panel under the helm with its own fuse/breaker or its fed by a fuse/breaker near the battery switch.

    Battery Advice

I'm also a fan of interstates. I've been in the Marine business for almost 10 years and I've had a lot of issues with Powermaster batteries especially the Red EFI batteries. Would not recommend them. Can't give an opinion on any others really.

Sea-Trial Done - questions for the pros here!

I would at least replace the connections going to the fuel sender. If it works I would leave it alone. Tank that old, you might have issues remove the bolts holding the sending unit in. If there is no obvious fuel smell in the bilge or boat tank is more than likely ok for now. But expect it...

"Tides near me" works pretty good for me.

    F250 Yamaha 2005 idle

It could be anything from a bad fuel pump pressure regulator and or pump to a bad IAC motor, TPS sensor, or MAP sensor. Hard to diagnose without the laptop out. I would have had the technician check the engine parameters (live data) on each motor and compare. Too many electronics on these EFI...

1995 Johnson Ocean Runner Stalling When Returned to Neutral

Re: 1995 Johnson Ocean Runner Stalling When Returned to Neut Locate the shift switch and disconnect it. Try and shift and see if the problem still occurs and if not you found your answer. From my experience it's usually a sticky switch or stiff shift cable/linkage.

Running transducer wiring on Seafarer 228

Not sure on an 07, but my older 88' seafarer and offshore have glassed in tubes running up on the starboard side of the boat that all the rigging goes through. Very simple to run a snake through it and pull a wire.

    Keeping sea cocks closed??

Really depends on what style thru-hull is installed for each unit. Scoop style will allow water to flow in with the the valve open but flat/mushroom style thru-hulls shouldn't.

    Another 24' offshore project...

Finally had a free day and it was too crappy to fish in the morning so I decided to get on installing my Jabsco head. I started making starboard mounts for the holding tank, but never finished so today I just used some 2x material to mount and secure it. The original wood that I guess holds the...

    Another 24' offshore project...

It's been awhile. Super busy at my new job along with sidework. Got around to servicing my new to me lower, did a bunch of service to my E-tec, finished up some wiring on my stereo/VHF, replaced the original Grady decal and stripes along with adding a name to the boat, put in a washdown, and...

Tip for Bilge Pump Float Switch Mod

Good idea, as long as it works. I usually mount the float switch a 1/4" higher or so with a piece of starboard or whatever.

    Cleaning Connections Behind Switch Panel

There is no spray that will simply remove corrosion on electrical connections and make them new. They're 20 years old, aside from replacing them the next best thing would be to remove them one by one and clean them with a dremel and a file bit attached to it. Re-connect and spray on some...

    Another 24' offshore project...

Well since my lower crapped out on me towards the end of last season, I've been looking for a reman/used one for awhile. Found one last night in CT not too far with less than 300 hrs on it. Got a pretty good deal on it I feel, we'll see how long it lasts. Previous owner of my boat said he...

12 Gal. Holding tank large enough?

Lol. It would really only be used for those emergency #2's, and for the ladies to be feel more comfortable  . I spoke to my dad today and he's pretty sure it uses less than half a gallon per flush. For 1's you barely need any water. Really depends on how long you hold the switch...

12 Gal. Holding tank large enough?

In the process of piecing together my head system. This is going in an 88' 24' offshore. I have no intentions on using this boat for long term trips etc. Maybe the occasional overnight stay, but other than that nothing crazy. Not planning on plumbing in a mascerator since my Marina has a...

    Another 24' offshore project...

Started to neaten up/rewire the boat and accessories. Ran 2 new 8g wires (ground/main feed) and 50 amp breaker from the batt switch to helm. Wired in my new stereo, VHF, head, 12V receptacle, USB charger and cleaned up the wiring the previous owner had done.
