I look at some of the prices listed---ouch. I was going to buy a slip for $30k and cheaped out. You had to use their people when you sell and they were going to take 10%. It would be a steal going with some of the other areas listed.
I pay $225 a month for a covered spot, cameras, gated with electrical. It's about 5min from the ramp in Manatee county Florida.
High and dry is about $450/MTH for my boat in the area. Had it at a boat yard on the water uncovered no electrical for $120/MTH.
There are a hand full of them now and are all very similar. The better brands use pressure sensitive 3m adhesive. The longevity has far to many variables. For something you walk on I was told 5-7 years.
The days of only SeaDek are gone. They actually had to catch up in recent years and...
Looks good. How wide? When I had mine built he added some gussets and built out a spot for the dive ladder. If you need any pics I can grab some this weekend.
Are you going with paint or powder coat? I have PC and would have painted if I was doing the work.
I have both and they have pros and cons. The Bennett's are better for boats that stay in the water and are cheap to fix. The bad part---so slow! The Lencos are great for trailered boats and much more responsive. On a small boat the footprint is much better.
Glad to hear you made it! I had is a year ago from this past weekend and ran into it again a few weeks ago. My daughter and wife brought it home from school, but this time we beat it's ass. Get better!!!
The boat flippers run a chain saw between two skins and hope for the best. Is it acceptable? Not in my book but in Craiglist boat flippers it's spot on--lol.
With some transoms it turns into a jig saw puzzle or like I mentioned before some of the curved transoms. Cleaning the surface and...
Yes, these are great materials if they are done correctly. They will actually fill better on many applications, but I have seen some bad chain saw artists--lol. Hollowing out between 2 skins is for boat flippers. Building a skin from the inside or outside with the appropriate dam will have...
That will be a popular boat down here in Florida. Looks a lot like the Robalo Cayman. I get clowned by my family when we use the Grady...or as they call it...Grampa Grady.
I had a 115 that would act like that and it ended up being the CDI box. You have to use a DVA attachment on your multimeter.
Does your motors warning beeper work? Just want to make sure it's not going into limp mode.
I live on the WC of Florida and trailer all over the state. One of my favorites is to stay out on Little Gasparilla Island. You can only get there by boat.
Most of my fishing is in Tampa Bay to out around 50miles.
Scallop out of Homossasa...just got back.
Mini-season in the Keys...didn't go...
