Thanks all. I will have to pull and give the hull a good cleaning. Although the reduction in top end does concern me , I don’t understand the drop off in the rpm. I’m more concerned about the RPM loss

Seasick, no surge at all. Just a steady rev Seasick, prop has no damage. I am going to have it redo end this winter but it’s ok. It’s a steady rev to 5000 RPM. I’ll have to pull it and clean and run again. I did run again today again with exact same numbers. Conditions were perfect.

Hey guys, I’ve never cleaned/restored the eisenglass. It’s getting a bit dull. What is the product of choice? So many on the web. Also going to clean the bolsters and don’t want to use a bleach based product. Any suggestions??? Thanks for the input

I’ve check the fluid, and added some. It did take a little, by rotating the wheel. It’s only a problem when steering right.

Yep. In my case it was a bad battery ground at the motor. Problem resolved.

It would initially crank, but would lose everything shortly. Had to call sea tow.

I had a similar issue with starting, but not while out on the water. Boat would start fine one day, and not the next. This went on for several days then finally boat just stopped running. Poor connection from the battery ground at the motor.
