I have a 200 HPDI on mine and get 5400rpm and 38.7 at WOT. It can handle a 250 4 stroke or 2 stroke. I would love a 250.

Seavee2 hull came into production in 92. So don’t go older than that. In 2000 ( I think) Grady switched to wrapping marine plywood in glass for the transom. The Grady is a much better ride hull and will hold value much much better the other 2.

The rough idle you are referring to takes place at about 1800 to 2200 rpm. Yamaha designed this to run only four cylinders as a fuel saver while trolling. Between 1800 and 2200 is when it transition up to all 6 cylinders. A Yamaha tech will tell you that the TPS switch is back or out of tune...

Yamaha recommends changing pump every year. Not so much for the pump, but for the exact reason you mentioned. They use titanium screws, which can corrode and get stuck. If they crack you can’t get them out unless you titanium rods and can heliarc weld. Then it’s a new lower unit.

KY Grady, I want to remove the ladder back on the jump seat. Did you have to pull the draw under the port seat to get at the nuts? The screws just spin on mine.
